He might be the greatest guy alive, but he can't keep time for shit.
I'm not going to listen to this more than once, but at first pass the drums don't seem that off. It was the guitar that was noticeably losing the off beat.
I play a few instruments, all with complete mediocrity. I used to play bass over ventrilo a lot, too.
Only been in 1 band in almost 4 years of bass playing (and fewer years of everything else I play). We practiced once, and recorded 1 song during that 4 hour meet up.

I think I need to get my guitar looked at. When I plug it in, sometimes it won't produce a sound unless I jiggle the cord at the input jack a bit. Has to be in there just right or it won't do anything. So, obviously, this leads to me cutting out entirely if I so much as move. It's rather annoying.
Unless somebody has a magic fix but I'm no expert and would rather leave it in the hands of a professional.
Yeah, that's actually not a bad place to start learning how to fix your own shit. Though if a lead needs to be re-soldered and your electronics are particularly nice or expensive, you might want to get someone else to do it.
Also, try another cable. Make sure it's narrowed down to the guitar.
I've enough instruments to form my own folk band, minus percussion.

I'm hesitant because it's my baby and I'd hate to fuck something up. I have zero expertise in fixing anything like that myself.
I'm pretty sure it's the guitar. Maybe I'll get it taken somewhere and see what the process would be. Or how much it would cost.

Honestly, there's not much you could screw up unless you just go stabbing things with a screwdriver. But if you've never soldered before, take it somewhere. If it's the jack or the wiring, it should be pretty cheap to fix. You can also have 'em look at your neck and frets and all that while it's in.

this is almost certainly just a wire came loose from the jack. it'll take longer for your soldering iron to heat up than to actually fix the problem
@Agent, have you ever watched Cowboy Bebop? I want to learn to play harmonica like the music in that, and I even own one! But I am struggling with it, do you have any pointers are places to look for harmonica learning?
Everywhere I asked about learning the harmonica I was told "Nobody can teach you how to play with the harmonica. Just keep fucking with it."
Which is bullshit, because I found a wonderful website that helps.
In particular, I'd recommend this man.
Always play the harmonica. Play stupid melodies until you wanna vomit. Try making noises with the harp that you never thought you'd hear.
Eventually you'll get surprised at the new levels of experience you will arrive at.
Playing music is awesome, yes. One of my band mates is renting out a room in a house with a badass basement so we're hosting / playing a series of house shows there. Ain't nothing like rocking out in a dramatically lit stone-wall basement.

No one can hear it though.
i have two abortive attempts to learn guitar under my belt
Yeah I think Metz and co. should find a new genre of music to play.
Ska is my least favorite genre ever.
he's alright. he's a cool dude.

I miss playing almost every day.
I hit it with sticks every now and then but I don't really know what I'm doing.
I maintain to this day that the white stripes would have been a better band if the only drummer had been jack white with his foot on a bass drum pedal
I hate when people say this, because Meg White was perfect for the White Stripes
Imagine those songs with a more competent drummer
You'd have The Raconteurs
so maybe it wouldn't be all bad
That's cool, there a wonderful amount of really really beautiful solos for saxophone, and sax quartets are some of the best small ensembles ever.

Dear satan I wish for this or maybe some of this....oh and I'm a medium or a large.
Not afraid to look like an idiot. Here's a video of me fucking around on the mandolin.
Anyone else play mandolin?
