56 workers killed and 3 extra mining bases, slight mineral lead!
Though to be fair IdrA probably could not throw this away if he tried.
I never doubt Idra's ability to throw away a game.
He didn't, but I never doubt it

So I am seriously considering making a switch to Random. I long ago gave up hope of ever being good at this game, I just play it because I enjoy it at this point, and I enjoy all three races equally. I race switch so often because I enjoy playing them all....I think I see Random in my future.
If you do I will hunt you down and murder your fucking face.
Random players are the scum of the earth. They are worse than Terrans.
blech...i wish Idra hadn't have thrown that one away like he does.
Why does he love to commit really hard against forces of marines and have his mutas chewed up? He seems to do it all the time.

To be fair... Idra handled the end of that game like shit. He charged into 3/3 marines surrounded by SCV's covered by Med-V's as they were chillin in a pretty tight choke.
If MKP had reactors, those 2k mins would have pretty much made it impossible for idra to win.
Slowing down zerg's third so much was the guaranteed win.
why the hell
would you go mutas
vs marines
and no tanks

Ling/bane/muta is great against heavy marine play. Mutas do decent damage and great harass while lings tank/force running/deal damage. And MKP was pumping out tanks from at least 1 factory.
3/3 marines are just really really good when you're sitting at 2/1 and 1/0.

Yeah, the fast attack for the marines means their attack upgrade and the enemies armor upgrade makes a huge fucking difference. +3 attack marine does 50% more damage than a 0 attack marine, conversely +3 armor on their targets completely negate this bonus though, unlike the attacks of units with a slower attack.

The only thing MKP had reactored was his Starport. You need Mutas for medivacs. IdrA sniped a billion SCVs and two CCs because he kept forcing the marines into the main while his Zerglings countered. I wish any of you had any idea about what you were talking about. Also, there's no good way to have 3/3 at that point. Best case scenario, he was 2-2 instead of 2-1, and it wasn't that close.
Marines are the counter to fucking everything Zerg has, you just keep throwing shit at him until you catching him looking somewhere else.

yet he still had 2k mins banked
yeah mutas to stop drops but that means they shouldn't be one of your main unit compositions for a head-on fight
ed: mutas stop drops and that's good, but that DOESN'T mean they should be part of your main army composition for a head-on

Dude, infestors are pretty damn decent counters to medivacs with fungal. You cause a bunch of energy to drain and hurt the medivac in the process.

Not to mention MKP had his marines under his Med-V's the whole time, so one fungal could have hit almost his entire army.

I disagree. There's no real reason IdrA couldn't have stayed even if he prioritized upgrades as much as MKP. It's seriously just a matter of throwing down an extra evo chamber and occasionally cutting a few mutas.

His Hive would've had to be a lot earlier. I keep assuming people have a reason for their hive timings but I guess I've never heard an explanation other than, "I need Broodlords" or "I have enough left over gas to get infestors and Hive".
True but I think he could have comfortably made that adjustment if he wanted to upgrade well. Stephano basically always throws down a second evo and rushes 3/3 melee uninterrupted, no problem.
IdrA spent most of the time that he was ahead in that game throwing 2/0 lings and 1/0 mutas directly into stimmed marines that had better upgrades. Which I'm comfortable calling a bad use of his resources.

I actually really liked the Inori game I watched. I don't remember who he was playing, but i remember liking it.

He could just gg and leave.
Everything he did had no real reason behind it.
Maybe he wanted to make thors for the first time, and thought they cost more gas?

he got maxed so in a sense the over-mining of gas didn't matter, and he got rolled. not just because of a remax either. it's a weak comp.
But, but...

and lings melt to rines with stim and medivac
it just feels marines are a soft counter to muta / ling, with you relying heavily on clutch bane hits
