I'm feeling nostalgic and recently pulled out Escape from Horrorland from my CD collection. Unfortunately after trying everything I can to make the thing work its still showing up with "Goosebumps Executable File has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have tried running it in compatibility mode to 95 and it still is the same, and Dosbox tells me it cannot be run under dos.
Help?
Its a windows 95 game. Thanks.

I've had success by applying compatability mode to all the program and supporting files (dll's etc) in the program directory before.
Basically you highlight all EXEs, DLLs, and any other non-document file, go into the properties and change them to win95 compatability.
If there is no compatability tab, it means one of the files you have highlighted doesn't allow compatability mode changes, most likely because it wouldn't matter.
No for some strange reason the file contains a .exe file and a setup95.exe file along with a readme file, I'll try copying all the files from the cd into the file.
Beh, ideas?

Nein guys, still receiving the same error. There are no files that will go into compatibility mode, except the .exe file and it still fails. Who ever can help me make this game work, I will give them a shiney penny.

Many older games can be played through virtualization. Try grabbing an old copy of Win98 if you still have one and install it on this. It is free and fast enough and you can play many old dos / 95 / 98 games that way.
