You don't need to buy most DVDs and games anymore. The best investment you can make if you partake of these forms of entertainment is to get a subscription to Netflix or GamesNFlix (coupon code "emmys" to make it really cheap) and get your games and movies through the mail. Seriously, fuck paying $17+ for a DVD and $60 for a game when you're not even going to use them often after the first week or two.

I managed to save a lot on work clothes by finding a Haggar outlet at a huge mall and buying nice shirts for $8.95 each instead of $20+ each.

Also I do eat out a lot, but order less food than you'd like to and just drink water. You will save on both calories and dollars.

I bought Vanguard this week, but I found a free trial key from someone to try it out before I open the box, so I can still return it and not waste $50 if it sucks or doesn't run well.

Also I noticed a stupid $8-9 bank fee on my statement that they've apparently been hitting me with for months, and I argued that and will get about $100 back for.

This was possibly counter to the spirit of the thread, but I've been on a money-saving kick lately and it's nice.

(Also I almost bought a Dolce & Gabbana watch for $261 this week, but I resisted the impulse and have since considered that it's not really worth it. True story.)

I bought a pretty expensive pair of jeans on Sunday. It's okay though, it was at the Barney's New York Warehouse sale so I got a really good deal.

I spend way too much money on role-playing books. I'm going to buy the d20 modern set of core books pretty soon - something I shouldn't really do, but since I'm joining a d20 modern game I figure it'd be good.

That and spending too much money on lunch at the cafe here at the college.

I spend too much money on DVD's, clothes and occasionally videogames.

I rarely buy video games anymore but when I do I buy them 3 or 4 at a time. I just got 4 PSP games and I'm very happy with them, but I spent almost 150 doing it.

That and alcohal, being the only 21 yearold with money in the group sucks. I bought $80 worth last wednesday and I got 10 bucks back from that. But I'd rather be drunk with friends then be the only person drinking.

When I get a job again, I'll be spending more on weed as well. Its been fucking a month an a half since my last high and it is killing me being around pot smokers all the time.

    Oh, and cigarettes.

I waste the most money on video games. However, I wind up spending it at circuitcity.com or bestbuy.com on discontinued or deep discount games. I wind up getting a big box of em, but it still adds up.

I eat out too much. And I probably spend too much on paintball stuff and i'm not even done upgrading my gun. It still needs either a electronic or a response trigger and a pneumatic or electronic hopper. So somewhere between $100-200.

The general consensus around here is 2.65-ish for regular. However, my 1970 Ford Torino demands premium, high octane, bringing it up to about 2.85. Add to this the fact I get 11 MPG and you get the idea. I've been playing with the idea of getting a 2007 Honda CBR, because the practicality, gas-efficiency, and badass factor outweighs the astounding insurance prices.
