Microsoft Certification self-training course recommendations?

I have neither the time nor the budget to attend actual classes for certification training, but if I can decide on a self-training option, my employer will pay for it.

Looking for Microsoft and VMWare certs definitely and would also be interested in some Cisco, Linux, and/or Apple.

Anyone have experience with and/or could recommend some good options?

I self-studied for all of my IT certifications. I just used the official MS study books for both MS certs that I have.
