Sentry, you're absolutely right. It has been way too long since we've had a "hate on BP/Hudlin" thread derail. It's like you guys don't even care any more.

I've been busy.
Not too busy to discuss the CIVIL WAR.
What's happened with us, matt? We used to argue bitterly about BP and Hudlin. Now I'm agreeing with and defending you in the CW thread. Is this really what we've come to now? Civil discourse? Why can't things be the way they used to be?
Question - how does Hulk know exactly who sent him into space?
I read the Illuminati where they did it, but I can't recall and haven't been following until now.
Hulk was asked to destroy a threat by SHIELD that was out in space. Banner/HUlk see this as a chance to do something good, maybe help his image out some so agrees. He gets launched into space, finds out that Fury lied about the thing he was sent to destroy (it was a rogue SHIELD project).
Hulk is pissed, but destroys the thing anyways. He gets in the shuttle to go home and gets sent on a one way ticket to another world when the Illuminati "grace" him with their pre recorded video trying to justify their actions.
It's not all that clear actually on if Fury/SHIELD was involved to start with, or if the Illuminati found out about the mission in space and acted quickly to seize the opportunity... I don't know if that was ever explained.
The whole deal seems a bit too involved for SHIELD not to be involved in some way.
It was a Fury LMD that Banner/Hulk had talked to. The real Fury had been underground at that time, but Banner never knew that.
I'm not trying to derail with BP hate, but using it as an example. It sounds cool, but its kinda along the lines of having Wolverine do a fastball special to take out Galactus's eyes, which for some reason are now his weak spot.
In a nutshell? Its a lame attempt by a write to show how "uber" X charecter is.

It is tragic that such powerful disagreement can evolve (devolve?) into calm, mature discussion. Ah, well.
Frankly, I'm actually kind of fascinated to see what BP does in FF after having apparently left his wife and partners in the middle of space, about to be annihilated. It's only my strong, strong dislike of the character Gravity (and his new status) that worries me.
The whole 'holding Silver Surfer in an armlock' thing...I didn't think I even needed to comment on it.

Well, there's a real simple problem when writers do that: Galactus doesn't really have eyes, any more than he's really a guy in a purple suit. As has been discussed quite a bit, Galactus is an aspect of the universe, perceived differently by each species as the embodiment of the Devourer of Worlds.
I can't wait until some villian decides to turn BP white, and suddenly T'Challa becomes Thomas and none of his powers work anymore!
In the end, he ends up working at Taco Bell with JLo
Who he insists is a mexican, and they all look the same, because he's so damn racist.
Hudlin will still be writing it, if you can't tell.
Yes! I knew I could count on you, Muffin Man. :^:
:v::v::v::v::v:
I'm scared, Mask...I feel myself hating you less and less lately.
I...I think we need therapy.
"He just doesn't argue with me anymore!"
"Maybe he just stopped caring what you think about Reggie Hudlin?"
"Or maybe I'm just tired of having to initiate it! Can't you just ONCE come to ME and tell me Black Panther sucks first? Do I always have to spout on about?"
"I...I had no idea..."
"*Sobbing*Well now you do!"
"...Mask?"
"What..."
"I...I think Hudlin is a racist hack."
"*Smiling*R-Really...?"
"Yes. I think he should only be allowed to use D-List characters so no one cares if the Blob is suddenly a racist douche."
"*Sniffle*You're such a dick, Muffin Man."
"I know Mask. You're a dick too."
But yeah, it's not that I'm not ready and willing to defend BP/Hudlin, it's that I'm seeing fewer incidences of stupid comments about them. Even when I do see stupid comments, they're usually things I can sarcastically comment on and dismiss. There's no need to have a two page shoutfest every time.
Anyway, WWH:
This image brings a tear to mine eye. A tear of pure JOY.
This just in: Amadeus Cho has no fucking clue what he's getting himself into.
I, for one, am simply shocked.
He seems so smart and well-adjusted... I figured only good things would happen to him.

I think the caption should read "Where's you MySpace now!"
I couldn't agree more about the horrible cover art ( I think someone brought it up a few weeks back, probably me )
Oh, and Cho approaching the Hulk like that? I'm sure it's all part of some uber smart scheme that will work in Cho's favor but a little part of me hopes he gets squashed.
As someone who doesn't hate Cho, I still have to say this turn of events pleases me. Not as much as the Frontline cover, though.
Everybody hates Sally. Fuck you, Frontline. You'd better fucking redeem her during WWH, damn it.
I like Cho, because although they've portrayed him thus far as kind've a smug little prick, he's also an ignorant smug little prick (at least, when it comes to the Hulk). Once the war kicks into high gear, he's going to have to make some very hard choices about whether or not he still wants to be part of Hulk's rampage parade, and I think we might see him develop into an interesting character because of it.

And Mastermind Excello is a cool name too.
I wanna see Cho stand up to the Hulk during a rampage.
"I can stop him! I can stop him! I can stop him! *Truck comes flying at Cho. Spidey grabs him and swings off*"
"Leave stopping the Hulk to the guys who can punch harder than my aunt, okay kid?"

Quoted because this is fucking awesome.

I love how, even though he knows they are both going to die, Ben Urich uses his last moments to try and put Sally Floyd in a chokehold.

And his little dog to!
That is the face of a guy who doesn't give a fuck if it's a dog or coyote.
In fact I think less of the Cho character now knowing that it's a coyote instead of a dog.
You're plan has failed your highness, I am a jedi like my father befor... *ehem* so yeah him having a coyote is fucking stupid.
You know Cho don't play by anyone's rules.
He's a loner, Paws - a rebel.
*Secretly wants his own pet Wile.E C... fuck! Coyote*
Someone on another board made something like that already.

Come to think of it, so do I.
I linked the wrong poster. This is the one you want.
Did anyone quote something?
We're talking about smashing precocious, annoying little kids. That might have set it off.
That is a thing of beauty. Too bad Jenkins won't really let Hulk smash his favorite stupid bitch.
