What happens if Bruce Banner stops repressing his anger and starts doing what everyone describes? Does the Hulk disappear, or change to represent some other subdued feelings or yearnings?
I think at this point the split is pronounced enough that they are 2 distinctly different people sharing the same body.
The split was always pronounced, though. When did it get more pronounced?

It's been a gradual thing over the years. Yes, initially Hulk was just a personification of Bruce's inner rage, but over time Hulk as a character has grown to the point that he is a seperate entity than Banner. I don't really think of him as just a part of Bruce's pysche anymore, he's a differnt person who is sharing the same body.
Maybe I'm wrong, but thats the way I read the character nowadays.
Do Hulk even have a potential ally in the Marvel Universe who could match Strange in magic?
No. If anyone goes after Strange, the only way to get him is through Surprise while he's concentrating on someone else, and does not recognize the threat, apparently. And from what we've seen, Hulk does not do that. Ergo, Strange should be able to beat anything Hulk throws at him, including Hulk himself.
Couldn't the Silver Surfer just drain Hulk of his energy?
Not that I want that or anything, but all of this talk of Hulk being unbeatable is kind of getting silly. I am speaking in general terms, not about this specific thread or this specific board or anything really.
Many people have pointed out how there are a fuck ton (I think that's a metric term) of characters that have the power to stop Hulk in one form or another. However due to Hulk being Hulk little short of a deus ex machina will most likely prove effective against him. But that's the fun part about comics, waiting to see how the hero will win the day even though the odds are stacked against him.

That's the problem with characters who are way too powerful and if things haven't changed since the 80's then Strange doesn't have enough personality to keep stuff interesting either.
Clearly you did not read Strange: The Oath. That mini makes me want to lock up BKV and force him to pen an ongoing Dr. Strange series.
That's my point. I haven't read anything Strange-related since my wee years in the 80's and he always struck me as a powerful but dry character. If I want to read more good stuff about him where should I look, besides Strange:The Oath?

Make Dr. Strange and Sentry powerful, sure. That doesn't bother me. Just make them interesting to me in the main story/time-lines.
Couldn't the Silver Surfer just drain Hulk of his energy?
Maybe... but why would he?
reed or someone calls him in to stop the rampage and save lives? Marvel suddenly has this big focus on the shockwaves of super-powered rumbles, and the Hulk gone beserko against pretty much everyone in the Marvel Universe could create a lot of civilian casualties.

Yeah, with him being a Herald again, I don't think he gives much of a shit about Earth right now.

Except, that's not what the hulk is up to; he's after the illuminati who were responsible for the destruction of sakaar. anyone who chooses to stand in his path deserves what they get.
Most likely result of calling up norrin rad: The silver surfer shows up, commands the hulk to stop, gathers that reid and friends are fundamentally responsible for the deaths of millions of people that the hulk liberated from the red king (who happened to also enslave the surfer), and then probably wishes the hulk the best of luck in punishing the illuminati.
And see what happens when Hulk ruins Superboy's toilet wine.
I'm just saying. A couple of hours ago two words came together in my head. Anger Worship. And it's true in Marvel comics especially that anger is like a super power or something.
And I was thinking well what if Tony Starks Dues Ex Brain or Reed Richards brain for that matter actually DID come up with a containment system capable of holding the Hulk indefinitely. I mean yea tony is a dick etc but so what. Since when does uncontrollable rage get to be pure? Since when is wrath anything but destructive?
I think SOMEBODY has to do to Hulk what parents do to little raging toddlers. That being to sit on them and tell them "Woah calm down there buddy".
Since when is it any ones right to randomly run around wrecking things. I mean even if no one died EVER during a Hulk rampage, Jeez, I would like to know What insurance company would like to exist in the Marvel universe. I would like to know that if I build a house etc or start a farm or make anything worth making in the world that some one can't come along and destroy it with out SOME consequences.
So screw you Hulk. Your wife died huh? Well maybe now you'll realize that you can't "Run away" from everything. Get over it. Hulk has no more right to justice against the Illuminati since he is just as destructive as them. Hulk is the world breaker not Stark. Accept it and move on. If Hulk is so omnipotent he would just kill himself and be done with it. PEACE is a valuable thing and you can never have peace with Hulk in existence.

"Whoah! Calm down there, buddy! We just pulled you out of the Antartic for a fake mission so we could shoot you into space and then sent you to the wrong planet so you endured months of hell before finally finding peace and hapiness until our ship blew up and killed the woman you loved, your unborn child and billions of others. It's not like we meant to hurt you!"
Actually, on the Anger Worship thing (By the by, that likely comes from the teen-centric origin of modern comics), it would be interesting if Angry Hulk's rampage, at the very end, is stopped by the Gentle Giant aspect of his personality.
Just, you know, not before he kicks the crap out of Tony.

It's getting to the point where I believe graizur is somebody's joke alt who posts the stupidist shit he can think of because literaly every single post I have ever seen him make causes me to make an face.
I am just sort of tired of angry character get a free pass to just rage at everything and it be a good thing. Lame. That said I still enjoy it. It's just leading up to it that I am like :this is going to suck".
My posts on Winter Soldier going off to kill Tony Stark is sort of themed similarly.

They fucked up his life beyond all measure and he's not going to let them get away with it.
Well. Yeah. Revenge isn't very nice. But it's a heck of a motivator, and makes for excellent conflict and engaging stories about not so excellent people.

Hell, he might even help out.
I'd like to see them fight over the top bunk.

Indeed. Plus the whole Requiem thing.
Man, what?
Have you, uh... Actually read through this thread? Because that's just crazy what you typed there.
I'll take that as a 'no' to the above question because that's been covered. A couple of times.

More heroes need to make this kind of stand.
But Revenge and Justice are not the same IMO. Justice is Good Ash and Revenge is Bad Ash.
There is no Justice...
There is only Revenge...
For 12 year olds.
Dude.
We're talking about a story about a Rabid Jolly Green Giant.
Context.
I don't know DKR was pretty cool for a book about an old man dressed as a bat.
This isn't revenge, no...it's pu-wait, wrong place. Do we have a Punisher thread?
