Well, my C++ learning was basically entirely self-directed, meaning I basically had to go from tutorial to tutorial, most of which were basic.
This is my first time learning with a structured course (MIT OCW) so I'm actually learning, you know, things the right way. It feels really nice to not have to not know if there's something out there that could be doing it better.

Basically right now I feel that I have the ability to do anything, just not well, and lack all the theory. So the courses are giving me theory and letting me see all the easier ways to do things, and the tools I thought I didn't have.
