I eat at chipotle like twice a week. So I guess that's my favorite? You have no idea how excited I was when they started offering brown rice a few months back. Then I went back to white rice cause it tasted better. Chipotle story!

That steak we had at Ruth's Chris was so good, Purple was also pretty excellent.

When I was out in CA over the summer, I had sushi at this place in Mountain View called Sushi Tomi. It was probably the best sushi I have ever had in my life. My mouth is watering a little just thinking about it.

Locally, there is this amazing country breakfast place over in Rowley MA called Stephanie's Village Pancake House, its an entire old farm house converted into a restaurant. They have the best goddamn pancakes in the state as far as I am concerned (especially the potato or pumpkin pancakes), and omelettes giant and fluffy filled with whatever you want. So very very good.

Veraci Pizza of Ballard has awesome wood fired pizza pies.
De Ambrosia of Ballard has the best gelato.
Root Table has great Thai inspired tapas and drinks.

And I love the damn mini donuts at pike place.

Have you tried O'Shan yet? They were surprisingly good when we went there for my birthday.

I live a ten minute walk from the original chipotle. it's tiny and always packed.

One time I asked for a chipotle burrito that had all 4 meats in it (steak, chicken, carnitas, Barbacoa) with my usual fixins (no beans, extra rice, corn and tomato salsa, cheese, sour cream) and they had to use a second tortilla roll cause it was falling apart and it was glorious! I recommend everyone try it at least once! My usual is half chicken/half steak

For a few years, I would get a call toward the end of December in the middle of the day from Frammalamma and J-Dizzle telling me they were driving to South Dakota for Christmas and that they were near Spokane and they needed me to tell them how to find the Taco John's.

One just opened up a few blocks from where I work. I don't like the "mike's way" where they drench it in vinegar and onions, but it's not bad...albeit kinda pricey, even for downtown Chicago

I don't think Jimmy John's is terrible, but the sandwiches are utterly forgettable. The only thing they really have going for them is speed. I'm willing to wait another couple of minutes for a sandwich I'll really enjoy.

I like Jimmy John's better than Quizno's and Subway, as far as chain sandwich goes.

    Jersey Mike's is delightful, though.

exactly. I'd choose any other sub place over them (except for subway), but the food is fast, and they're open incredibly late.

Chipotle is a restaurant that I would eat at a lot if I was not a poor college student.

    It is basically the best.

The grocery part of that Thai restaurant I mentioned is weird as shit. I mean they have normal stuff like 20lb bags of rice and crazy asian carrot soda and whatever

But against the back wall they have two chest style freezers - which are completely and totally without organization - and they are filled top to bottom with random frozen food items with (presumably) thai writing all over it.

I found a package of some kind of frozen giant bugs. Like huge fucking cockroaches or something - I don't even know what they were. Like six of them lined up in this packaging like you would find chicken breasts in the supermarket.

Water bugs. They were consumed during an episode of No Reservations or Bizarre Foods.

yes! That was what they were! Pretty gross looking

I enjoy Potbelly subs. They toast the bread perfectly so it doesn't taste burnt (which Subway and Quiznos does all the damn time).
