Dota 2: beta invites going out now! Dragon Knight and Omniknight added!

The sequel to that custom map that you either hated or are Dadouw is almost upon us! Beta invites have been announced on the Dota 2 blog, so if you filled out the hardware survey you may be getting one in your email soon.

Also, whoever gets in with this first wave of beta invites will also get 2 invites to give to their friends!

yeah I got the system specs email. Heres hoping I get in. We were board at work tonight any my friend convinced me to go to 4chan for the first time ever and there were several thread with people posting the emails they got with their invites.

Dota can be hard to get into, but I'm sure some of us will be glad to help you.

Yeah, it can be very intimidating and the community can be very hard on newcomers. However if you play with friends, that can make it much easier and enjoyable to learn.

Yeah matchmaking systems for these types of games are kind of a must have, as HoN figured out.

I'm excited. Hopefully the next wave of invites will come very soon...if they are even doing waves.

Personally, I'll be happy if they just make the inventory/shop system more navigable for newer players.

i am "so hype" for "dotes 2"

i want to pick terrible heroes and build terrible items and roleplay in allchat in allcaps. i might also want to win a few games but that is secondary

Instead of boring standard or high-level play, Badcast focuses on the most terrible of players. It is funny as hell and also very educational, as the utter garbage play-style of the chumps that they spectate will teach you exactly what not to do. If you've ever wanted to see amazing Quad-Bottle, Duo-Urn tactics from people that can't break 15 creeps in 20 minutes then Badcast is for you.

i actually can't wait to play huskar since he never got ported to hon

but phantom lancer really. that's like riki levels of unfun for both teams

Playing against riki is actually somewhat fun for me.

Because I usually play slardar and I get to make his game criminally unfun.

i used to like him when i first started playing dota
but now it's too many passives to be fun

like at least spectre's ult is crazy time, PL getting a passive ult is just eghhh

He has a lot of phantom's, yes.

But the secret is in realizing that each of his images is basically an active ability you can get creative with.
