Man, I think the HD Collection has been discontinued here. I spent half of yesterday searching for a copy on PS3.
Revengeance has put me in a mood.

So I have the Gray Fox outfit now, and obviously it's the only way to play.
I want to unlock his sword too because I still think Gray Fox in Twin Snakes is the best thing to come out of the franchise prior to ZA FURY, but it's hells of expensive. Anybody used it? Anybody who can tell me what the Hell it does, for 200k BP?

I hear it breaks the game in the best of ways. The destroyer of all things. Everything falls before the Fox blade.
Also heard rumblings that, if you've mastered the parry system, Revengeance level difficulty is actually pretty easy - as the damage dealt from a perfect parry is based on how much damage the enemy was gonna do to you, and given they deal a fuckload on Revengeance...

What I hope for, given future DLC is
a prequel where you play as Sam and Wolf, maybe they could do a couple more prequel episodes - one with Gray Fox on Shadow Moses, maybe a little condensed version ala MGS4, leading up to REX as a boss fight or just end at the fist fight with Snake, and one with Raiden pre MGS4, rescuing Sunny.
Both'd be pre cyborgs, so the enemies would all have to be soft n' squishy humans that get dismembered in a single swipe, but hey - I figure they could play like the original vids for Metal Gear Solid: Rising, more stealthy perhaps. ;D
A "what if" DLC that showed how Shadow Moses would have gone if Gray Fox had Raiden's level of enhancements would be enough for me to drop a lot of money

Have I mentioned how much I adore the music in this game?
Does anyone have a tracklist for the OST that came with the LE? It couldn't find the track names through whatever the PS3 uses and my google-fu only brings up the Vocal OST tracks (rather than the Instrumental, which is what was in the LE).
That song during the last boss had me almost convinced it was Avenged Sevenfold. The music in the game isn't usually my deal, but it's perfect for the game.

IGNs boss guide to Sam on Revengeance has a perfect parry in it and it dropped sams health like 60-70%
Well I found half of the games I was looking for.
Got a copy of MGS4 with no case for $25. So that's.. Something.
I think I might have to just download the HD collection off the US PSN. It's only $40 on there compared to the $60 on ours.

Unless I'm mistaken the US MGS collection doesn't have Peace Walker HD included, while the EU collection does.

Seriously?
I know it's true of the Japanese MGS HD Collection (Peace Walker HD is a separate product, HD collection is MGS 2 & 3), and I'm pretty sure I've seen people mention it for the US as well. I can't confirm it at this point in time though.
EDIT: As confirmed below, Wikipedia says I am mistaken. Although apparently the Japanese collection includes a download code for MGS as a PSX classic in place of Peace Walker, which does kind of make more sense.

The Vita side is probably it. I know the UK PS3 has all three, and the Japanese doesn't, so I'm probably getting the Vita collection mixed up with the US collection.

Man. I tried the demo and I... kinda suck at this game! I just don't get a whole lotta things, like when I should parry, when I should blade mode...
Also, the collect left hand thing. Sometimes I think I cut one off successfully but I'm not sure? How can you tell? Is it crucial to collect a lot of them because I can see that getting annoying.
I like the sheer absurdity of the music. Judging from the demo, it seems like they are realizing that the over the top silliness is what makes MG games great. The trick is not to go too far, like in the MGS remake.

I was going to point out something that directly contradicts that, but then I noticed you've only played the demo. Suffice to say, there's a lot of silliness in that vein. But Raiden's a cyborg, so... I guess that makes spitting in the very eyes of physics better?
Just so you know where I'm coming from, I have a huge rage-on for that BS in MGS4 where
Raiden stops the battleship-sized MG in its tracks by pushing really hard on it. It's so damn stupid.

I have reached a verdict; if you wanna be cheap regarding unlockables and cheesing higher difficulties
infinite blade/ripper mode wig and the Fox Blade are not the ways to go.
No
You want infinite item wig and EMP Grenades. Infinite stunlocks on every enemy? I'll take that thanks.

Don't worry man, it is hard stuff! Also your username is perfect for this game. ;D
Parry is mostly good to go whenever you see an enemy flash with a red cross. Flashing gold means they're gonna do some kind of grapple which can't be parried. You gotta let the stick go neutral, then tap towards them + square to do it. Doing it as soon as they flash red = a block, no return damage, doing it immediately before they hit you = a perfect parry, you'll do a return attack and stun them, usually opening up a QTE prompt that'll wreck em.
Whenever you see the screen flash blue it's your cue to go into blade mode and fuck em up. Aim to get the spine exposed as soon as possible, then spend the rest of your time slashing to maximize your score (as it's harder to expose the spine the more you cut)
Also try and track down Morninglord and his sig, it is full of good MGR stuff!

Got em all now, but I dunno if they're much help. Aerial Parry maybe. Quickdraw probably not.
HOLY SHIT I got the projectile!
OK, I now have 2 health packs, that's like 6 hits. I can do this...
I'm takin off my sunnies now and I'm giving you a look.
Fuck that guy
...I'm gonna buy some health now.
Don't think it's worth the frustration of going unupgraded to try again though.
Managed to get a good load of the collectibles too - all the Men in Boxes and Data Cards. Missed a few Left Hands somewhere though.
Now, do I keep going up, or drop down to Easy to get some freebie upgrade points? :P
Ed; got it!
Also one for not using anything but a sword. :O

But its pretty awesome while you're playing the game.
I only like the soundtrack in-game, though. Out of context, it's sort of flat and empty.
All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.

I need to practice a lot, a lot
If that's the line I'm thinking of, then I think it was more a case of mocking whiny, over analytical MG fans.
