This has exactly the sort of tone I'd want out of a Lego movie, so color me excited.

That looks surprisingly good. The weird techno version of Take On Me in the background distracted me for a while when I was trying to figure out what it was.

Pretty sure it's the modified version from Feel This Moment by Pitbull.

The trailer didn't really do much for me, but I mean, it's just a teaser

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball and 21 Jump Street are both great fun, so I'll see this based on the creative force behind it alone

I think I am sadder about the Tomatometer for The Monuments Men than I am excited about the one for The Lego Movie

I'll probably see one or the other or both this weekend though

Oh my goodness, that trailer looks wonderful.

And holy cow, it really is showing at 100% on rotten tomatoes.

    I'll be damned.

Looks like it IS actual lego.

I might be mistaken, but a lot of the footage in the trailers looks like stop-motion instead of CGI.

Over in D&D's Lego thread (which is awesome and is making me spend more money than I'd like), I think someone said it was a mix of CGI and stop motion.

I wouldn't be surprised if the film is mostly CG and they're just overdoing the stop-motion for the trailers.

But even so, if the movie is as funny as the trailers, I'm fine with that.

I thought it was 100% CGI but deliberately styled to look like Stopmotion.

Okay which is it? All reputable sources seem to say it's CGI but there are still people out there saying it's stop-motion.

Which is impressive praise for the movie either-way.

  • Ms DapperMs Dapper Yuri Librarian Registered User regular
I have found no source that says it's real Lego, it is impressive as hell how it replicates it though.

I really, really, really love that the old Spaceman's helmet is broken.

I have at least 4 little helmets that look exactly like that.
