I guess tears up or damage up items are necessary to do those parts without taking a hit

A decent number of the usable items would also probably work.

Edit: I say probably because I never remember to use them until after I have taken 2+ hearts worth of damage.

and as far as the chargers, yeah, some enemies really go from minor obstacle to huge pain depending on the layout of the room

Yeah, it is fairly odd, but Joy2Key really does work very well.

Ive used xpader since I had the controller so yeah that works great too. Already had it all set up from the demo so it was fine!

I had trouble getting very far until I switched to a gamepad. I can now beat the game 9 out of 10 times, assuming I don't get god awful items.

unlocked dr fetus yesterday

this cain run was incredible

got both batteries and the nail, so every two rooms i could use it to wreck shit and get a soul heart

in the depths II i had four hearts and eight soul hearts

then mom's pill bottle dropped, which is also affected by the batteries

and got a bunch of hp up pills

so i went from four hearts to ten on just that one level

pretty sure the inner eye greatly reduces your rate of fire in exchange for the triple shot

so switching to brimstone just means fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

So I got a Dr. Fetus on the first level and Lord of the Pit on the second. With the addition of Money = Power and Mr. Mega (Bombs hit harder) I was finally able to get another no-hit achievement, this time for the Depths! It being called Dark Boy is rather astute, as you can see:



I decided to actually finish the game and took out the last boss with no trouble. GOD I LOVE DR. FETUS.

Yep, turns all your bombs into 'mega bombs' with increased damage and possibly range.

It essentially 1-4 shots all bosses, including the last one.
