they should stop trying to make plots for Liam Neeson movies. Just make it performance art. Get a big stage, with a large black curtain, it raised, Liam Neeson walks up to the mic "Good evening, tonight I will fight wolves" then wolves get released on stage

While yes, page one and all that...

I would pay large amounts of cash money to see this. Or a series of short films like this.

Liam Neeson Presents: Liam Neeson Fights Stuff. A Stage Show Starring Liam Neeson.

I really, really enjoyed Liam Neeson in The A-Team though.

Like if the whole movie had just been Hannibal Smith it could have been one of my favorite action films ever.

I loved the bit near the beginning where B.A. is cruising along in the van and stops because Neeson is standing in the middle of the road

And then in the next shot Neeson has all of a sudden teleported to right by the driver side window

    Oh yeah.

Or in the beginning when he is bound and they release the two attack dogs towards him. He slinks into the darkness and suddenly you just hear dogs in pain.

    I liked The A-Team quite a bit!

The Losers was the better action ensemble film that uses the port of LA as it's climax setpiece but it is still a fun flick

Losers is pretty much the definition of stupid fun action flick.

  • BlankZoeBlankZoe Registered User regular
Yeah, it is the perfect ensemble action movie for me

I can easily watch it every few months and have a blast

the chemistry among the cast is just so good

I loved both but I wish I'd seen The Losers first because A-Team almost made it look tame

You know who was great in The A-Team? Patrick Wilson.

He did a very good job of playing a dickish, action-movie bad guy.

when the bad guy was taken away and they asked what was going to happen to him and they didn't get a clear answer, that meant that he was still going to be able to work for the government

Liam Neeson really does not show his honker off in cinema nearly enough. Give the people what they don't know they want, Liam.

I think I liked The Losers a teeny bit more than The A team because I have a huge dude crush in Idris Elba

TLB you ever seen Snake Eater with Lorenzo Lamas? I caught it on TV the other day and it was a hilariously bad 80s action movie.

The Losers was fantastic. I've seen it a few dozen times because it's just simple good fun.

The A-Team... eh. It wasn't bad but I only bothered watching it once.

When is Mr. Neeson going to finally work out his wife issues and take a break from working constantly?

Seriously, I learned to ski on the run that killed her, it's flatter than Keira Knightly

Me I'd probably find a stout stick before strapping broken glass to my bare hands, but of course I'm not Liam Neeson.

BNAT happened I guess and The Grey was one of the movies shown there.

One guy said it was "a full on cinematic version of the JAWS Indianapolis speech with wolves instead of sharks."

I need to see this movie right the fuck now.

But I know the rage that drives you. That impossible anger strangling the grief, until the memory of your loved ones is just poison in your veins. And one day you catch yourself wishing the person you loved had never existed, so you'd be spared your pain. I wasn't always here in the mountains. Once I had a wife, my great love. She was taken from me. Like you, I was forced to learn that there are those without decency that must be fought without hesitation, without pity. Your anger gives you great power, but if you let it, it will destroy you, as it almost did me.

This movie was pretty great! It's way more a man vs nature movie than the action movie the trailers are making it out to be and I loved it for that. Some really great tense filmmaking is on display here.

"The Grey" is an unrelenting demonstration that wolves have no opinion. When they attack, it's not personal. They've spent untold millennia learning how to survive, naked and without weapons, in fearsome places like the Arctic Circle in the dead of winter. They aren't precisely unarmed; they have their teeth and claws, but how far would that get us, even if we had rifles?

Carnahan uses puppets, men in wolf suits, even trained animals to take these creatures out of digital fantasy and into a stark reality that will haunt your nightmares. Shot by the gifted cinematographer Masanobu Takayanagi on location in British Columbia, the movie chills you to the bone. Carnahan goes a step further by adding the shiver that comes from plumbing the violence of the mind. The Grey, full of beauty and terror and a healing sense of grace, brings us face to face with our own worst fears. Hold on tight. It's a true call of the wild.

“The Grey” arm wrestles rather than tackles the harsh riddles of manly existence that were so memorably anatomized in its fellow subzero odysseys “The Edge” and “Runaway Train,” and like those films it may be too conventional for the art-house crowd, yet too arty for the megaplex. I prefer to call it an unusually reflective blood-and-guts saga.

    this movie sounds amazing
