You know what? Nash might be a good choice. Both he and Punk have a history and as long as Nash LOSES at the end the whole thing might turn out to be pretty epic.
Mark Henry comes out on a crutch and cuts promo saying he will fight through his leg injury. Big Show comes out. H tells Henry that what he just did to him, Henry did to Show. Henry called Show the world's largest loser. Show laid out Henry with KO punch. Daniel Bryan came out and cashed in MITB. We have a new champion.
Not so fast. Teddy Long comes out and says Henry was not cleared to compete. He takes Title off of Bryan and gives it back to Henry.
This set up a Fatal 4 Way for the Number one contendership. The winner faces Henry for Title next week I think, then winner of that match faces Big Show.
Hunico beat Justin Gabriel.
Alicia Fox joins commentary. Divas tag match. Beth & Natty vs. AJ and Kaitlyn. Very quick. Natalya wins with The Sharpshooter on AJ. Post match there was a beatdown. Fox makes save.
Zack Ryder was backstage playing the WWE '12 video game. Sheamus comes in. Comedy ensues. They are tagging tonight vs. Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger. Now Long is on the screen and getting heavy boos. Henry comes in and is pissed about defending next week. Funny stuff from both. Long makes it a steel cage match for title next week.
Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus and Zach Ryder. It was a long match and really good. The crowd was hot. Ryder won with The Rough Ryder on Ziggler.
Backstage, AJ is pissed at Daniel Bryan for leaving her out there while Beth and Natty attacked her. Wade Barrett comes and tries to intimidate Bryan.
Ted DiBiase vs. Heath Slater. At the bell, Jinder Mahal pops up on screen speaking a foreign language. He is talking to DiBiase. He self translates saying that Ted turned his back on his wealthy family. The match begins while he's talking. The crowd is not into this match at all. It's almost as if we haven't been given a reason to care about either of these two in years. It's a shame, they are working their asses off. Decent match. Ted DiBiase goes over clean.
Cody Rhodes cuts promo backstage. He talks about throwing water at an announcer. Then says he's gonna win the 4-way.
The Fatal 4-way is up next. Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett vs. Cody Rhodes.
Daniel Bryan wins when Cody taps. Cody did a post match beatdown on Bryan until Orton made the save. That was the end of smackdown.
Dark main event is Orton and Bryan vs. Barrett and Rhodes. I'm sure the faces will win to send us home happy. My wife is 8.5 months pregnant so we are going to beat the crowd to the parking lot. Goodnight from Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Show sounds pretty eh actually which is a shame since Smackdown has been pretty great over the last month or so. They are setting up a midcard feud with Dibiase so that's good I guess, though I didn't expect it to be with Mahal since most thought they've already written him off. Kinda surprised Booker didn't confront Cody but they have plenty of time till TLC.

I'm one of the biggest Nash fans ever
And even I think the thought of him holding any major wrestling title in 2011/12 is the worst idea
I mean, especially at Wrestlemania, that's a bad idea. If Punk has the title, give a guy on the roster (like Ziggler or Miz, to name just two) a spot. You don't need any other old timers in marquee matches on the show, with the Rock there. The only reason CM Punk should face a classic superstar would be if they could wrangle Stone Cold, and if they do, Punk shouldn't have the title.
It wouldn't make sense for Cena to have it against the Rock and it sure as hell wouldn't make sense to have Punk defend it against Nash.

I mean, I could see them not wanting to give another new guy a rub at WM by beating Punk for the belt if he has it, because the Daniel Bryan title shot, plus Ziggler's getting a big push so far, and Miz being Miz still, plus the constant possibility that this year might be the year they finally end the Streak at the hands of a person who deserves a big rub
But giving the shot to Nash, of all the vets on your roster?
I'm just saying a Punk/Nash feud already has a backstory and as long as Nash is on his back at the end it should be good. It doesn't even have to be at Mania either, I just want to see them settle what they started.
Dammit I'm not going to get in an argument with everyone regarding Nash's current ring skills. Yes he's even more immoble now than in his "prime" but he's back to being an actual threatening heel now instead of his cool heel bullshit that only worked when he was with Hall, and THAT train has long passed. So if, after his feud with Hunter is over, he moves on to face Punk and resolve that issue I have no problem with it as long as Nash loses in the end.

Let's say Nash goes over Triple H at TLC. I could see Nash vs. Punk at RR. I'd be nice filler feud for 1 month, and an ok way to keep Punk hot before feuding with Miz. That the absolute most Nash should be used for right now. He'd shouldn't be anywhere near a WM main event, or even a prolonged feud.

Hudson talked about rumors of problems between her and Otunga's wedding due to him not wanting to sign a prenuptial agreement. Hudson said the rumors weren't true and that she has to deal with some personal issues before she does anything else.

When I saw the video my first thought was Jericho, the whole doomsday thing seemed to fit with the Y2J stuff, but then other people were saying Taker which made sense.
God I would love for him to be back. And yeah, the Hawaii thing seems like evasion/joke to get people to stop pestering him about it.
Also, Punk/Miz at WM would be great. Doubly so if Daniel Bryan Danielson is in the other title match.

From what I gather the smoochey times happens after the chastisement, so, you know, make up smoochies. There is an acceptable path out of this now for me. Bryan wins next week but then loses the title to Big Show. Henry ambushes Big Show post match giving Bryan the perfect opportunity to cash in. From there he can either heel turn or fully embrace the noble path.
WWE 12 is pretty fun. Gameplay feels smoother. Been playing Universe mode all day.
Yoshi Tatsu got a career-ending injury in his first week. Poor guy.
Can you give more details on what makes universe mode better than last year's?
Yeah, this is what I really want to know as well. The concept of it last year was pretty great but it fell flat. Constant run ins before matches and some really wonky booking, like the same guy being booked for three matches in a ppv started to irk me.
If it's been upgraded significantly I may go snag a copy over the long weekend.
