This might be the nerd superiority argument, but I do think The Doctor's Wife gets infinitely better if you've watched a lot of Classic Who as well. But I dunno, I am every bit of a Gaiman fanboy.
And as much as I can see the hate for River, man Season Six still had the Girl Who Waited and The God Complex.
Granted it had Curse of the Black Spot. Which I probably won't ever watch again. Like ever at all.
The Girl Who Waited irritated me a bit. I didn't like how Amy was so angry and bitter at Rory and the Doctor for something that wasn't their fault, plus I felt like the resolution to the story was a bit of a cheat.

It an episode without Amy, rory or river with the doctor popping in and saying hello to Craig while trying to reconcile that he's essentially on a death march. It has Matt smith at his absolute best with some of my favorite moments in the whole damn show
Plus the chemistry between Craig and smith is too crazy good, he absolutely should be the next companion
This is what I've been hoping but I didn't want to jinx it.

Watching Series 5 again after 6 really shows up how weak 6 was. Yeah, it had a couple good episodes, but Series 5 was all good episodes.
Even the weakest bullshit eps were stronger than the majority of Series 1-4 (Thinking of Victory of the Daleks and Vampires of Venice here. And they're both good, just not on par.)
The big thing though was their respective story arcs;
mysterious time crack vs the Doctor's inevitably undone death.
HMM.
I still love the show, cause Matt Smith
But I'm hoping 7 is closer to the tone and pacing of 5...

Doctor Who fans are getting a fresh opportunity to travel back in time with the discovery of two missing episodes from the long-running BBC series.
Oh boo hoo River Song River Song
Anyone who really loved this show would not have left this post languishing on the last page, largely unacknowledged.
New lost episodes have been recovered! The complete things, not just the audio! This is seriously the best news I've heard since they exploded bin Laden's head. Now excuse me while I clippedy-clop out of here on my high horse.

The Series 6 soundtrack has been released.
My biggest issue with Series 5's soundtrack was not including the Doctor's theme variation from Amy's Choice - the epic brass and choir version as he's waddling along half asleep and locks himself in the butcher's shop. That was the best piece from Series 5 and it jossled my flaps that it wasn't on the soundtrack and OH LOOK.
Disk 2, track 35 of Series 6's OST. Amy's Choice Doctor Theme.
It's called "The Majestic Tale (of the Madman In A Box)" and I guess it got reused in Series 6 without me noticing, but that's it!
So happy.

So..that was not bad Favourite line has to be:
Hold on tight and pretend it's a plan!
I'll admit I am slightly disappointed that there was no new season preview at the end, but got a Sherlock one instead so it's not the end of the world.

oh well my best friends are gone... hey new person hurray adventures everything is awesome and nothing bad ever happens
man, I hate disagreeing with Neil Gaiman. The Doctor's Wife is really the only episode I loved this season.
pretty good but didn't grab me
aka "the Saga of River Song"
Craig
The crazy nightmare hotel
Those are two of best who episodes like ever
And as much as I can see the hate for River, man Season Six still had the Girl Who Waited and The God Complex.
Granted it had Curse of the Black Spot. Which I probably won't ever watch again. Like ever at all.
And I rewatched Love and Monsters.
I agree
But more importantly
CRAIG
How are you forgetting like the best episode in the whole dang run
It's where he gets the Stetson!
You have fucked up now

But then River Song doesn't bother me. Like I don't really get it. I wouldn't mind if she went companion.
Then like a month later be all like "heh, joking."

(1 is the best season. 2 and 3 are the next best. 6 was a little underwhelming but it was a big step up from 5.)
This guy right here knows what's up.

Every now and then the Doctor would call him Stormy and he'd just go "...what?" and the Doctor would immediately brush it off or get interrupted.

I don't wanna, they're all about River and I hate her
Second to last one isn't.
It's about Craig!
Also, the Doctor coping with his own mortality.
Why I fear the ocean.
I hate her too but they're great eps
The finale, eh. There are loads of great scenes in it, with a bad story connecting them. The best thing I can say about it is
River Song's story earns the mysterious accolade of being way too drawn out and rushed at the same time. Don't even know how they pulled that off!
