    Karkand on the 13th? Welp, at least I can play it for a week before Star Wars hits. Also, Arg PS3. Why are they dumping everything early on the PS3?

    Because the PS3 folks who purchased the game were told they'd also get a copy of Battlefield 1943 included on the disc.
    EA/DICE then reneged on the deal...but they announced it (rather sneakily) only via their twitter feed via a single tweet.

    Long story short, class-action lawsuit ensued & EA/DICE attempted to appease the gamers by offering them Karkand a week earlier than everybody else.
    They also re-wrote the End User License Agreement and made everyone accept the new terms over all systems.

    Meanwhile on the PC & 360; not a single fuck was given.

    I will take this entire quote tree as a positive for DICE. Good to know they are appealing to a variety of taste.

    I love the 870MCS, but do not play on a server with great ping with it. I'll see and hear the gun go off in their face and them show up at 100% on killcam. It goes away if I go to a server with 80+ latency though. :?

    Still though, what a neat shotgun. Feels way more satisfying to use than the automatics. Honestly thinking of using it full-time, save for the few maps where it makes no goddamn sense. Odd, that at Colonel, the gun that I'm excited about is one available from Rank 1.

    I like the 870 too. It just feels right and if I aim for the upper half of their body it's usually a 1 hit kill.

    That's a good point. And 32 man Tehran, its too small to support 64 players in any mode. I also love Seine Crossing, and am comically terrible in Davamand Peak rush. I dunno why, I get cushed. I've taken to trying to sniper and lobbing mortars.

    It's disheartening to do 10k points on Tehran then do 1500 on Davamand.

    Fixed several weapons so they are properly suppressed and hide the player on the minimap when fired.
    Tweaked Tactical Light so it is not as blinding over longer ranges.
    Tweaked the IRNV scope so it is limited to usage only at close range.
    Reduced heat masking effectiveness of Spec Ops Camo.
    Fixed a bug where Ammo spec would give additional 40mm grenades instead of Frag spec.
    Increased the number of additional 40mm grenades from Frag spec.
    Fixed so AT mines only live for 20 seconds after a player dies to prevent infinite mines. (We want to make a different fix in the future, it’s in JIRA).

    The P90/MP7 buff is nice, too. Looking forward to these tweaks. There's not a single one I don't agree with.

    With the IRNV and Spec Ops camo nerf, I'm wondering what camo I'll be running. Probably Urban or something... Have they fixed it to actually save your camo choice, yet?

    Presumably that you can assign scroll weapon to something other than the mouse wheel. I guess that wasn't an option before?

    Glad AEK wasn't touched, I figured it was the best AR even before I saw the damage chart google doc (is that up to date?).

    Seems like there wont be much point taking mines over repair now. The chances of someone hitting your 6 mines within your lifetime are pretty slim.

    p.s. Which weapons does this; Increased the close range damage of 4.6x30mm and 5.7x28mm bullets, apply to ?

    No, 360 still hasn't had any client patches other than the Day 1 patch. The patch that just came to the PS3 this week is allegedly still in cert for the 360 and should be released "soon." Impossible to say whether it will include these changes when it does arrive or not.

    I also wonder if they will end up forking the PC and console versions w/r/t balance tweaks at some point. The nerf to mortars in this patch, for example, doesn't make much sense on consoles, where mortars are currently rarely used and easily countered.

    Yeah, this sucks. Currently my battle plan is littering the battlefield with mines.

    Wonder what they plan on fixing in the future? Why not just have a Max Mine Count or something like in BC2?

    Pretty much every tweak in that patch is gold.

    Don't like the method for nerfing the mines, but it needed to be addressed. Hopefully the permanent fix is better.
