Well, I wouldn't be concerned with the download itself(mostly), but the size of the file on my device.

Presumably all current(or very recent) version universal apps would be fine, but any update of that app suddenly balloons to a much bigger size, despite no improvement to an iPad 2 user?

Cause, I kind of want an iPad 2, but not if the effective storage capacity for apps is going to suddenly shrink sharply.

i guess they weren't counting on too many people downloading one thousand apps and not wanting to delete any to make room

You can't really say traditional for the air because you had a 3 year period between the original and the most recent one, with no others in between. But the original came out in January '08 and the most recent refresh was July of last year.

edit: I lie. apparently there were some minor improvements in late 2008 and mid 2009, with the improved display version coming out mid 2010.

So what'd be a good and reasonably priced tablet to get? I've been looking at the point of view protab 2 XXL (http://www.guru3d.com/article/point-of-view-protab-xxl-tablet-review/ ) which is reasonably priced, has mini-hdmi and a SD card slot which seems like everything the average user could ask for.

I've also looked at some samsung 10 inch tablet but I can't recall the exact model. The price on it is pretty much twice as high though, and I think a lot of people would go for an iPad once you get up to the 400€+ range.

I should also be looking at getting myself a macbook to teach me how to macintosh but fuck if I can afford it. Shit's expensive.

Okay so anyone remember me complaining about the newer Nvidia drivers crashing my computer?

Well I just found out the newer newer ones don't for some reason now. But then I haven't tried them under load yet.

One thing I did change hardware wise was my PSU.

I'm now using an antec E500D. Which I think has better 12v rails?

Not sure. Anyway I'm about to pop up into WoW to test this.

silk is really annoying on pages that you refresh a lot i.e. the forums, otherwise it's OK.

because the page refreshes in the background, but it doesn't always graphically refresh until magic

It was weird picking it up though. They ask you what you want, then give you a slip of paper and just give you a big smile like they just gave you an iPad.

Then there was an awkward pause before I asked what to do with it. And then someone else in a blue shirt swooped in to take it off me and swap for an actual iPad.
