It seems interesting. I have it on Steam but haven't played it yet... only the browser version, not sure how they differ.

Bulletstorm seems like the kinda stupid thing I'd like. If I remember, there was an awesome ad for it here on PA. It made me go "yeah, might like that" but I never bought it. Is it worth £15 of my hard earned cash?
Is today the last day of the sale? Still got $9 left in my steam wallet.
Tomorrow, maybe Monday.
EDIT: As in, new sales (or maybe a recap of previous sales) will go up tomorrow and carry over to Monday with the slight possibility of new sales Monday given that its Cyber Monday.
But maybe the Newell doesnt celebrate Cyber Monday since he makes Thanksgiving a half-week affair.

If it goes down to $7.50 I am buying it right away.

Just a reminder to non-Americans, generally if your country is getting screwed on a price, a lot of times there are MANY people willing to lend a hand to ferry it over to you at a fair price (either through Paypal or some kind of trade). Doesn't hurt to ask at least. Bulletstorm is much cheaper in the US versus the UK or Aus prices.

Yes.
If you like the idea of a linear, arcade-like, big dumb shooter, Bulletstorm is well worth the cash.
There is a demo, which gives you a good idea of the gameplay.

So apparently I have all of steam's jrpgs... that's right, all 3 of them.
that said, I have a new goal. I want a card game. I played the demo for magic and it was cool but have the fun of card games for me is building your deck. If Square made triple triad a retail game I would play the hell out of it. It's why I used to own some of the yugioh gameboy games even though I had no idea what the series was about before hand. Does a cool card game with deckbuilding exist on steam?
I'm sure this isn't what you had in mind, but Runespell is 2.50 right now. I own it, but have not actually played it. (I have an excuse this time, my girlfriend demanded I get it for her to play!) Poker RPG with collectible cards and such, and there is a demo.
I'm also keenly interested in Bulletstorm, but can wait for the Winter sale if it's not on for tomorrow. Sad I'll miss all the classiness while driving for 8the hours tomorrow, but late gifts WILL be given...
Anyway, thinking of picking up Civ V DLC. What should I get? Some of my favorite things about Civ games are the Wonders, so I guess at least the Ancient Wonders pack?
Personally I got all of the Civs and none of the map packs. I just don't think the map packs are worth as much as the Civs gameplay wise. The Korea and Wonders pack sounds up your alley though.
Thanks for the input, fellas. My cart is thus:
$2.53 - Civilization V: Korea and Wonders of the Ancient World - Combo Pack
$1.69 - Civilization and Scenario Pack: Denmark - The Vikings
$1.69 - Civilization and Scenario Pack: Polynesia
$2.53 - Double Civilization and Scenario Pack: Spain (Isabella) and Inca (Pachacuti)
$1.69 - Sid Meier’s Civilization® V: Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar II)
$10.13 - Estimated total
$5.74 cheaper than buying it all separtely, and that's all of the DLC except the individual maps (it's $14.36 with the Cradle pack). I'm actually considering just doing this now so I can say "fuck it" and not have to worry about any of it later.
@jungleskye is a classy gentlemen who has sent me Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Yet another huge franchise Ive actually never played anything from. I look forward to it
By the way, people were asking about hidden great deals? Well I found one... as some of you are about to learn...

So, how much is all that Railworks DLC on this sale? If it dips under a grand, I am so in.
Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

See my list just above yours for just a bit cheaper, as the Explorer's Pack appears to just be maps as well.

Sometimes... sometimes I just go and look at the screenshots of trains. And wonder. And think, "What the hell is wrong with me, I don't care about trains at all."

@APODionysus just went and gifted me the Broken Sword trilogy. I love adventure games but have never played these. Super excited! Thanks, Commander Classy.
This is also making me want to buy The Longest Journey and Dreamfall to replay. So many adventure games!

For those considering Spectromancer: it's plenty of fun, but you don't get to do any deck building at all. There are 4 (iirc) types of magic that everyone uses every time. There are a bunch more that you choose one specialty from. You then get 5 randomly drawn cards in each of your 5 schools of magic for that duel. Sometimes it works out well, sometimes you get screwed, but either way you never get to choose your own cards.
Also, the online community was pretty small last time I played, and that was probably close to a year ago. Single player is pretty meh.

I'll freely admit that I've added Railworks to my cart at least twice before thinking to myself "I... Don't even like trains. What am I doing?"
Steam has that effect on us, it seems.

Indeed, but it's a little easier to justify the extra $1 or so for Explorer's when it's bundled with an extra civ. Near as I can tell, my edit is the cheapest way to get all of the DLC aside from getting the GOTY edition and the remaining DLC. Just passing along info for those that might be interested.
Holey Moley, Bulletstorm went on sale for $9.99? How long is that going to last?
Not sure I can wait on the DD for this one....it couldn't possibly go any lower, could it?
Until tomorrow, at least for this sale. Bulletstorm was price dropped to $29.99 some months ago, and then again to $19.99 shortly thereafter.
So right now it is 50% off per the franchise sales.
I'm going to wait until tomorrow at 1PM EST to make any of these purchases juuuuuust in case. I could see them dropping Bulletstorm to $5 for a one-day sale. Who knows? Either way, I'll probably get it tomorrow.
Damn, @TPSou has confirmed my suspicions that he is in fact a classiness machine constructed from the finest monocles and tophats. Thanks for Payday! I've got my Richard Nixon mask ready for our future bank heists.

Dont do it. Every time I replay Longest Journey and Dreamfall, I have a wonderful wonderful time... then am filled with pure RAGE for weeks that we havent gotten the conclusion(s) to the series.

This whole sale is positively bonkers. I feel like we are off in the twilight zone this year. Minor incident has Rod Serling-ed us all.

Man, I hope the rumor about those guys doing a Gears of War prequel trilogy is true. Because one thing that series needs is more dick jokes.
I thought Steam was universal adjusted price and fair.
Oh Gaben. Why'd you screw me.

It's not only a thing, it's the crown jewel: the most expensive single game+DLC on Steam. By a wide margin.

The Broken Sword triple pack? APODionysus has very generously given me this, the second gift he's sent me this Autumn sale. Thank you sir.
Also, what is going on?

I know how much you love l4d so I went and got you http://store.steampowered.com/app/65235/
You realize that would still take you roughly eight years, right?
And that's assuming they just stop making more right now.
Can I get a colonial to hook me up with Bulletstorm? If it's really just $10 there, that's less than HALF what I'd pay.
I'll pay em back in compliments. Alternatively, with Paypal cash.
