In case anyone was considering the Fiero. Dont. I'm doing you a favor here. I drove it so you dont have to. I struggled to get it under 2.10s on Catalunya

sorry to say but I have already claimed the Maserati
Time for plan B!
You poor, poor SoB.
I kid, but if I didn't make a comment on someone else driving the 8c it'd be strange. It actually is a fantastic car and if I hadn't taken the Cali it would have been my choice. I'm still tuning the one I did throw together to use as a normal S car (to go with my R3 version).

I just got home from work, am I too late? If not, invite me please and thank you.
I took Groove's non-the-ballast-behind-the-wheel advice and made an engine swap + added a turbo to the Trueno. It moved the weight up about 20 pounds but I gained a couple HP and about 30lbs of torque. I was able to get a 2:12:280 on Catalyuna.
I resynced the car to the club garage. If anyone can do some quick laps and let me know their times that would help.
I'll probably be in the '10 Weismann and the Supra 2.0. The Weismann had lap times well matched to the rest on Leguna, so at least won't need to be completely reworked. But still not happy with the B class cars, might go with an RS500 or Starion. And after managing to keep up with Knight for a full lap of the ring after that wreck, the 997 SC is still a strong possibility. Definitely need more testing.

Just remember that half the people you meet are below average intelligence.

The RS500 is great fun. I was going to pick it except I use it at B500 all the time.
Yea, that Porsche was pretty quick. Nice strategy murdering my aero though, totally sent my tire temps out of whack!
Yup, and with 5 different manufacturers, I believe. Barring Monaco last week, every race has been exciting... And even Monaco managed to have a great finish.

I did get your message, it wasn't too late (we were just doing practices), but sadly the message came in the middle of a race and I couldn't send another invite (I had before the race, not sure why you didn't get it) until after the race and you had already gone.
And that Lancia video... must... fix... randomly-sliding-gremlin and make my Lancia more competitive.

Are you bottoming it out? I had that happen to one of my cars and it made it just randomly spin until I noticed it.

To check this, go into the telemetry screen with the 4 spring gauges. If any of them go all red (bottoming out) or all blank (tires leaving the road) adjust the suspension accordingly
I didn't change the base settings for the Forza Aero yet, but I have Race Transmission and the widest tires the SLS can take, with 1 level of weight redux, I think.
It won't matter, as I have all faith in my ability to fuck up and finish last anyways.
edit: Here's one question, if the car doesn't have the option of putting on Race Brakes or Roll Cage, does that mean it already has it, or will it not be allowed in the series? I think it was the SLS, didn't have brakes upgrades or a roll cage option.
I prefer a car that is light and agile over a car that is powerful but a brick, so I tend to do tires and weight before engine upgrades.
And I just tested my TC car, it gets 165 as it's top speed with a similar build idea as my SC car (225HP, 2,465 lbs, 225 front and rear tire width [max])

This wasn't the issue, the issue was a combination of too-stiff roll-bars and a slight tweak in tire pressure. Of course, fixing the random tail-happiness has slightly hurt my cornering speed, so it's back down to "completely unfun AND completely noncompetitive" instead of "mostly unfun, completely unreliable AND just noncompetitive". TC is going to be a case of "Get through it, in last place, so I can drive a car I actually want to drive" all season for me.

yes, if a part isnt available to buy its because the car already has it installed. the exception to this is front and rear wings (it may have it already or it may just not be available, ex. Ferrari F40)

Yeah, but the F40's wing is just non-adjustable but does give downforce IIRC.

I got a couple invites, but was denied by the cursed NAT demons. I don't know who my connection doesn't get along with, but it makes me sad to be denied racing by something so stupid.
Edit: Well, if anyone does, send me an invite. I think I'm going to play some Dragon's Dogma tonight. I would like to see what it would be like to race on of the two cars I've chosen with something other than AI.

Yea, turn 7. It's not a full 180 hairpin, but it's like 160 degrees so Imma count it.

You have to see this to believe it. GT vs F1 through the same corner on Francorchamps' turn Eau Rouge

I hear F1 cars are real fast. Course, F1 is also the most boring racing series for it, so bleh.
F1 this year is different. It's been some incredible racing so far

Still dunno about the S.

Just curious, what are you guys seeing as your Benchmark top speed for the S class cars?
is 206mph going to get me absolutely blown away?
Jesus, 206? My car tops out at 170.
Edit: Just tested, 180 topspeed (427 HP, 2,487lbs, tire width 255 front and 335 back)
Then I realized I might not be coming at this from the right angle... the Jeremy Clarkson angle, if you will.

At least I hope so since I can't go that fast.
