Considering the XJ220 right now, running some lapsexzes.
edit: soooo much easier to drive than the LF-A. Stable as fuck, doesn't understeer nearly as badly as you'd think it would.
I've put some times in on Catalunya with it and it's in the garage if anyone wants to give it a go. Ran an invalid 1:55.3xx, but it was only invalid because of a previous lap, which sucks.
I'd rather not get a retard helmet with a higher PI. I'd rather just learn to drive better in this game. But I really don't know what I'm doing wrong so I don't know where to start.
I know it's not my cars, because Groove drove the Sprinter and did much better than I did. So it has to be me.

Get a replay of someone racing the same car as you and watch how they drive. See where they break when they turn, how much they turn the wheel, shit like that. Then go to hot lap mode and follow someone's ghost until you can beat them, then choose a faster ghost.
Practice enough and eventually you will get faster. Also, some people are just plain better.

I'm gonna do some testing tonight after I barbecue up a steak. I'm going to download some B500 tunes (If there are some available) and compare those to my own tunes, see if I can get any tips or improve my time.
I'm reasonably sure my Diablo is competitive so long as I don't fuck with the brakes, so once I get the Porsche in line, I should be good to go.
You have to be careful though that you actually learn something, and not just chase. It's very easy to fall into the trap of late braking and screeching around every corner, which will severely slow you down.
2:12 is about the best I can get on Cat. Averages are closer to the 2:14-2:15 marks.
Thursday night is going to sting a little, methinks.

Hey, so, according to google (Searched for Forza 4 Aventador R3 Tune) the Aventador's factory gearbox is seven speed? But I only have six gears when I drop the race tranny and go back to factory.
In fact, in all my time playing GT3, Forza 2, 3 and 4 I have never seen a seven speed transmission. Not once.

The '10 Weismann has a 7 speed stock gearbox. I wish I had the PI to fit the 6 speed because it loves to break loose on the 2-3 shift.

Eh, more gears isn't always better. Stock transmissions are usually geared way too long for the majority of racetracks anyway.
The Veyron and a couple other cars have 7 speed transmissions by default. When you put the Race trans in them, they drop to 6.
The Lexus ISF has 8 stock, which is the most of any car.
You can sort by Gear Amount as one of the sort features and then just scroll to the bottom/top.

Well, what I don't get is that according to the Forza forums, the Aventador is supposed to have a seven speed, but when I switched back to factory, it was a six speed.

I dont think its good that when I saw that pic at first I thought it was a corvette
Also I think I'm gonna take the Zonda in SBC. The NSX is super fast but its so fragile, one little bump and its toast.
I threw more hp in it and changed a few things around, so it likes to swing it's tail out more, but it's still pretty drivable.

One of the Mercedes cars has an 8 speed iirc.

I still cant find a TC car I like. Seriously considering the Miata.
Played with the Diablo's livery, again, trying to make something based on my namesake. I wish I understood design.
The Nissan's livery took about 5 minutes and it's all right.
