And what fight requires 2 tanks half the time? I know only 2-4 fights (some people single tank spine, some double tank madness) require 2...
In any case, yeah... I really hope they get that figured out so we're not stuck with a tanks and healer comps constantly switching again throughout the next expansion...
It's a tennis joke given you have to bat a ball back and forth during the fight.
H25 Zon'ozz requires two tanks during phase 2, when one tank is taking a Zon'ozz + claw and the other is taking the other claw.

Wow. I did not know there were 2 claws in 25-man. That is really dumb.

Should've gone with Federer or Djokovic.
Agassi is so last decade.

My main is the only one in my guild (rather nicely, it is a level 25 guild), so I doubt I'm going to feel much of an impact with the release of Diablo.
Most of the people I know, stopped playing pretty early in this expansion anyway. Not that this is a problem, because my playing hours are what I'd describe erratic at best. For reasons I'm not entirely sure why, I've got some open invites from guilds if I ever felt the need to look for one.

That's nice that you were able to slurp up a level 25 guild for yourself. Even beyond just a lack of guild activity, I would expect people to notice Orgrimmar/Stormwind and trade chat to be relatively abandoned (or more abandoned than usual in the case of dying factions).

I'm not going to lie, all the extra's I get are a bonus (I did put in a fair amount of work with regards to the guild, that includes sinking 40-50k gearing up other people's tanks; tanks that then quit not long after), which reminds me, is anything further going to happen with regards to more levels for a guild to get? Or is it more or less going to be left as is.
We don't have a "filler" Raid planned. We have a wealth of information that we've been sharing with the media and press this week that they'll start sharing with you all next week (Monday, March, 19). While we aren't going to give you a release date, I think you'll get a good idea of how far along we are in the development of the expansion. We think you'll like what you see/hear/read.
We'll also be keeping an eye on any and all constructive feedback and answering what we can as development continues.
I want to be optimistic, but September/October is about the best I can realistically hope for. With 2 months until D3, I doubt they'll throw all their eggs in one quarter.

I seem to remember hearing something about more guild levels and more guild perks, but I think it was something that they deliberately left vague.

This. My guess is they'll add 5 (maybe 10) more guild levels in Mists. I'd say there's a chance they might lower the guild XP required for some number of the existing levels too. In my dreams, they'll add a bunch more ways for players to contribute guild XP: things like professions (especially archaeology), PvP (battlegrounds, "world PvP" zones, etc.). I say "in my dreams" since the devs are dicks and won't improve the system or give us what they told us they would in the first place.
They're gonna make so much money from D3's auction house that I doubt they'll care. Watch as people stay up 24+ hours straight to be the first to get high enough level and with enough magic find to get gear good enough to sell for real cash and then price that shit out the ass.
It's going to be pretty slim from 5/15 until whenever MoP hits. It'll be interesting to see how long they drag this out.
It'll be more intersting to watch WoW's subscription numbers fall once Diablo 3 is out.
They'll probably second guess making D3 free-to-play.
Is this seriously a thing? Are people actually planning to unsub for Diablo? I don't even know how that makes any sense.
I mean, I see a lot of people asking "WoW or Diablo, which do I choose". So... why is it a choice? Why can't you just, yknow, play both? They're different types of games. One is an MMO, the other is a (co-op) Action RPG. I have no intentions of playing Diablo III the same way I'd play an MMO.
I guess I can sort of understand if time was an issue... but even then, that goes back to the previous point; they're different types of games. And even if you were planning to be hardcore about it and devote a lot of time into D3, but still wanted to play WoW... I still don't see the problem there. I mean, I don't even log in to WoW that much. I really only log in to raid. And then I'll log in sporadically on non-raid nights to level an alt or do a dungeon or something.
Money I can understand-- Wait, no, cause if money was a concern for someone they could just do the annual pass.
Am I the only one that just doesn't see what the issue is here?
The RMT market is going to be really scary because ask the averge person about ecomoics and the theroies of it and it's going to be like watching a train wreck over and over
Judging from the number of tyreals chargers I see around, I suspect active population in WoW will absolutely go down.
But I doubt it'll have much of an actual effect on subs. I would guess (hope?) people that are still playing, typically, are playing because they want to. Not because there's nothing better to do.
Yeah, some people will play Diablo 3 like an MMO (and honestly, why not?), but quitting wow for it? If they haven't already quit, they probably have some personal investment which will, at least, keep them paying...like...having "signed" a contract to pay for a year to get D3 free :P
EDIT: Also we should start seeing info from the press week for MoP on Monday, we'll see how soon it will be and my guess is that it's going to be closer than people expect. I'm still guessing mid summer.
It would be, yes, but as I've said before; judging from screenshots recently, and the videos w got at like blizzcon, or whenever, MoP is already in a state far beyond where cata was even in Alpha (I was in the F&F alpha, it was a clusterfuck of half the world not even existing more than some fucked up terrain, and most areas would just crash you instantly etc), it actually looks closer to where Cata was once it hit Beta. Most of the testing for MoP can probably be done internally (internal alpha is already going on, I'm guessing F&F Alpha starts in the next couple weeks, by the end of Mar), leaving Beta to just be fine tuning of abilities and just general bug checking of the new features like challenge modes, pet battles etc. And the first tier raid.
Beta could start by May, game could be out by July. Yeah, super fast timeframe by their standards, but they know they can't push it much further than that with the constant sub loss since Cata, and MoP is far smaller in relative scale (as far as work to be done) than Cata, so they aren't basically testing a completely redone game like they were then.
beta starting may and release in july would be like, a one month beta, which to me just seems like a completely an unrealistic expectation given their track record.
I'm not gonna do the whole 'I'll eat my own cock' thing, but if it's out before september I'll be incredibly surprised
Eat it You Nasty Pig. on
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Those videos make me think, yeah definitely out by July.
I mean, hey, I could be totally wrong, that's ok. I'm not psychic.
But those are fully complete realized zones that aren't "in progress".
EDIT: I mean crap, even the instances are fully populated and animated. I think, yeah, when it hits "beta" it's going to be more of a release candidate beta than a full on, past WoW beta.
EDIT2: Scholomance revamp looks really cool.
I should say that I'll openly admit my estimation is partially based on the fact that I'm honestly excited for MoP. I know people are ragging on it, but pretty much everything about it appeals to me, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Both games are about item / loot / point collection. If your focus is on maxing achievements in WoW, then time spent in Diablo 3 is a waste. If your focus is on farming items in Diablo 3, then spending time in WoW is a waste.
So this week in Dragon Soul another goddamn Gurthalak dropped. I took it just for the sake of taking it, but then later decided to switch my offspec from Frost to Unholy.
Oh my god, Unholy is so much fun. Why didn't I try it before? I ran an LFR just to get a feel for it, and see how my dps was. I was pretty pleased by the results. I'll see how things go next week on Zonozz/Hagara, since I dps for those fights instead of tanking.
Also the tentacle proc is ridiculous. It does so much goddamn damage, especially since it scales with Unholy's mastery. And my mastery is currently adding 41% more shadow damage.
Every time I have gone on my warrior to the lfr and the Gurthalak drops I lose it to the lowest dps or guild conspiring
I win nothing in the lfr on my warrior
on the other hand I am so close to thunderfury! and the Sulfuron!
Actually it looks like I need someone from EU to send me one because clicking on the sor link sends me to the us site and says I have no eligible wow accounts. anyway

We've killed madness every week since week 2. Never seen a single bow. It's the only thing our raid can use from normal Deathwing.
Speaking of Deathwing, were gonna try H spine again tonight. Fun...
We've killed madness every week since week 2. Never seen a single bow.
That bow is the bane of my hunter's existence. I've been running LFR since it opened, never once has the bow dropped for him. Every single time I've run it on any other character the bow drops. It's almost comical at this point. Especially given that apparently very few people play hunters at this point, as I seem to be the only one in the raid each time I've taken him.
After the first half dozen times it didn't drop I jokingly told my group that I probably wouldn't see it drop until MoP hits. Now the joke's not all that far from coming to pass.

The bow seems super rare, and, at least for my shaman, the 1h axe seems super rare. I've very rarely seen it drop to begin with and the few times it has, some rogue with the 397 daggers from the legendary quest takes them.
