Got excited for the game... Then got sad when I saw the system requirements.
Oh well, it's not like I don't have an ever growing gamebank. Although I'm quite impress with my current situation, I have bought the games I wanted to buy on sale during the winter sale, and I even have more games thanks to the classy gents in this thread.

My Top 10 in my wishlist:
I put them in no particular order:
Modern Warfare 3
Civilization V
Bulletstorm
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North
Red Faction: Armageddon
The Witcher 2
Rage
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes
Skyrim
Unreleased Title (Bioshock: Infinite)
Really, I have so many games that it was hard to pick out some of these. I don't really care much about Civ V, for example, but hey why not.
Am I the only person who has no interest whatsoever in any game that bills itself as an "action tower defense"? I have yet to even try the demo for one of them.
I have no interest in action tower defense games, but I installed the demo for "Orcs Must Die" without knowing it was an action tower defense game and I played the demo and enjoyed it. So, the moral of the story is, I'm racist against orcs.
Yeah just try them honestly. OMD in particular is just so good. Even if you don't like TD games, it is a totally different feel while maintaining the principals.

Haha, well I think you should at least try one, you might be surprised! Who knows.
I didn't think I'd like it at all either, but OMD is pretty fun!

I was gona pass on OMD thinking that Minor Incident's gift of DDungeon Defenders (amongst the slew of other awesome stuff he, along with others has gifted me) would be enough but then he mentioned it was singleplayer and I was all WHUT. Snapped it up. Installing right now so it'll be a whie before I can try it out.
A contest! Of sorts. See, I'm not going to say what its /for/ merely what I want you to do. At that point it is entirely up to you to decide if you want to take part or not.
In my defense, my prizes tend not to suck.
So what is this mystery contest?
MS paint time! PM me a nice ms paint of your favorite game scene. Ms paint edits also cool, if you just want to slap a picture on there and draw horrible text bubbles and explosions and such.
I expect you all to spend hundreds of hours, if not thousands, on perfect ms paint goodness.
Normal rules applies, six months on forum, etc, etc.
Holy shit I slept like a boss. Well, at least comparatively.
Ho hum, too many pages to catch up so I skipped them all. ha ha ha.
@rikdaly If your Borderlands GOTY thing wasnt resolved very well, I bought a spare copy during the sale I could toss at someone for you, since I saw you were having Steam-issues.
Also, dang, tons of people playing Borderlands suddenly. Now I want to play.

I just used my newly made Steam account to by Limbo, and i guess by this threads enthusiasm levels Bastion should be next? Hmmmm...From what I've seen it looks solid. Plus, I don't care how short it is since I don't really have the time right now to sit for hours playing games like I used to. Looks like I'll add it to my ever growing wishlist!
I am scared for myself (and my wallet) during the Winter Sale. Last year a friend of mine had his CC shut down 4 times.
(also, this thread is fast! also, I've never seen the awesome levels of classiness in other forums, you guys (and gals) are great people!)
Hey cool a new Flatout (suspiciously not spelt FlatOut like the rest of them though, that's annoying). Ultimate Destruction was a bit of brainless fun so that's wishlisted

I am scared for myself (and my wallet) during the Winter Sale. Last year a friend of mine had his CC shut down 4 times.
The solution to this is Steam Wallet! Just charge your credit card once for whatever the maximum is that you're willing to spend during a certain sale period.
Of course, deciding on a hard limit for spending could be difficult for many in here, methinks.
I can't agree more that Bastion is simply fantastic. Amazing through and through. Click my sig for my humble opinion on the music.
I've seen you plug this before and always like, meh, don't wanna read about this stuff, but.... Good article, and the interview with Darren was great too, which led me to the YouTube link of "Bind those Keys" which was hilarious!
Since now the US evening crew is probably rolling around, I'm going to put up a little gift guide for people who may be newer to the community (or like me), getting ready for their first steam holiday season rush.
A lot of us give gifts around here. A lot of us are also sort of lazy. Here is a quick guide to being a good GIFTEE:
1.) Make it possible to track you from PA Forums to Steam. A link directly to your steam ID is usually the most convenient. Remember, your Steam ID is different than your steam name. If you just include text to your steam name, we have to search and scroll through 5 pages to find you (and we may not find you if you're not using the same name/avatar combo!).
2.) Make it possible to track you from Steam to PA Forums. Best bet is using similar avatar/name. Understandably, some people don't want to do that. In that case, you should have "I'm x on Penny Arcade Forums!" in your profile blurb.
Remember, if you're selected for a gift from a stranger on here it will be, usually, one of two ways:
You will either post in the thread (so they will go to your profile to friend you and then to the store to send a gift
or
Someone will want to gift a certain game and go to the store page where you can see everyone who has it on their wishlist.
Also, remember that a gifter can see when you added a game to your wishlist. If you add it on the day of the sale, you might have a smaller chance of being gifted it than someone who has been interested in it since release.
To be a good GIFTER:
hey you're giving someone a gift you're already good, move along nothing to see here.
Except make sure that you are identifiable from steam to PA Forums. Some people are bashful and are nervous to message a gifter and say "hey thanks, I have no idea who you are on forums!"
I response to that, I still have no idea who wind_seer_121 is. Which I should feel bad about, but they don't even have a Steam avatar or anything I can compare by.
..Or Rofl the Waffle. They just tried to add me and again, no idea who they are. Oh the agony.

There are those who say it’s much better to give than to receive. For the rest of us, the greatest gift is gifts. And now it’s easier than ever to receive gifts, or even, if you must, give them. In your inventory you’ll find a new “Pending Gifts” tab where you can view gifts offered to you and gifts you’ve offered to your friends. You can accept a gift to add to your game library or store in your inventory for later on both the web and in the Steam client.
And to ensure you don’t miss a gift, a new item in your inventory, or a friend invite, there’s now a notification flag at the top of the Steam client that lets you know you have things to act on and quick links to get you there.

So that's giving people an option to avoid accepting spite gifts? I do not support this initiative

What is a "spite gift"? How do you give someone a game out of spite? Like, do you gift them Dues Ex: Invisible War or something?
But I am so glad Bastion has finally hit the fiver mark. I was gifted it at full price, and can now share the love by gifting to all and sundry. Bless you Gabe.

Not quite, you find out they just joined Steam and have yet to buy a game and then you gift them Amnesia: Dark Descent.
Totally did this with @Rubix42. Though that game was good, its a terrifying start to Steam

I like the fancy new notification button at the top of the client. Some pretty good thoughts into the backend of the madness of the gifting system here!

Well, put it this way. Get gifted The Graveyard, load it up and discover it's some hipster's unfinished art project. That's a spite gift.
God fucking damnit you guys are quick. Still, I think we all raise valid points. Spite gifting: hilarious, and cruel in a nice way.

Very nice. I'm beginning to think someone from Valve spies on this thread, hence this Classiness Initiative.

Like how I will send everyone tunnel rats this holiday season.
Now if they'd just add some way to organize gifts or stick notes to them, so I can keep track of why I gave X and Y person Z gift. Because I'm forgetful.

I think, I think I have enough games.
Something is wrong with you.
If you just got married and had a honeymoon what is interesting that should pop up is your dick and you should have sex with your wife.
Or your husband. I don't know your sex or your spouses. Either way worry more about the sexes than games.

My wife does work on occasion, unfortunately.
She also discovered How I Met Your Mother was added to Netflix. No good could have possibly come from that.
