To anyone who plays FEAR, don't go about thinking you can uninstall an expansion pack without uninstalling the main game. :x
Nearly finished that game, too.
You know. Now that it occurs to me, it might be better to think of the two expansions as DLC pretty much (Okay, this isn't COMPLETELY true) But that's basically how it works out in my mind.
Cant have one installed without the other, and your download time is longer just by having them.
Man, I wish I could make myself choose between Saints Row the Third and Batman: Arkham City. Saint's Row basically gives you free reign over a city as a psychopathic gangleader/supervillain, which is awesome but on the other hand you are the mothafucking' Batman in Arkham City. So please, help this fellow poster to decide between these games.
I say its a pretty easy decision. Do you take your games seriously or not.
If you do, be the Bat. If you don't, beat hos with a purple dildo bat.
I go either way, to be frank. I guess I'm trying to see which game will last me the longest, since they are both open-world games.
If you have a friend with Saints Row get that and Co-op the whole game
If you have no friends get Batman
Both are great, Batman will take you a little longer to finish. But SR3 has better replay.
This is one of those situations where you can not pick wrong.

Trick question! Neither. Compulsively flip back and forth between the Steam thread and your Steam library, community page, and sales instead. Steam paralysis is the only game.
Seriously though I bought Mirror's Edge for like $2.50 and I want my money back. I've really tried to enjoy it but it's just bad. Maybe it's just not for me.

I subscribe to the notion that those who do not like Mirror's Edge are not playing it right.
Mirror's Edge is not a first person shooter. Mirror's Edge is a racing game on foot, with obstacles that sometimes shoot you.

A racing game that cannot distinguish the pipe from the wall more than 50% of the time. A racing game that fails to allow any sort of change in direction while keeping momentum, resulting in a rage-inducing few seconds of flatfoot-edness. A parkour simulator which is so full of different context-sensitive actions that it can't predict if the player is trying to do a reverse wall kick, a side-ways wall run, or if the player intended to run straight up the wall.
A "beautiful" game where the designers slapped large, single-tone textures on every wall and called it a day. A "beautiful" game set in a boring, industrial-urban city.
A racing game with incredibly specific paths the player has no way of divining the first time through the game.

Yeah, I just didn't play it right. Absolutely.
I had no trouble at all with the controls or mechanics of the game and I played through the game on both 360 and PC, multiple run-throughs on each.
And I had no trouble at all figuring out where to go.
Aaaand I'm off on vacation. Sporadic checkins via phone for the next 2 weeks. Guess I'm going to miss most of the fun.
Slightly Christmas-adjacent; if anyone here that plays TF2 picks up one of those spy-cicle knives and doesn't want it, I call dibs.

Oh god, are we doing the Mirror's Edge thing again? I'm convinced that it's the most divisive game ever released because every time it's brought up, we burn through a few pages of HATE IT/LOVE IT.
Feelings are hurt, egos are bruised, developers and tastes are insulted.
It never ends well.
Mirror's Edge is soooo awesome, guys.
Everything looks beautiful when you're young and pretty
I dont think it's the holy grail, but I also had no trouble with the controls, paths, context sensitive actions or anything else. I also loved the stark and unbusy design choice for the environments. It really made it stand out.
The only thing I didnt really like was the story. It is pretty 'meh' all around.
to me Mirror's Edge is just like Limbo, it looks beautiful, controls perfectly, and is just the right length. I loved it, I even loved the slightly cheesy music. Only been through it once, and I did that without ever attacking anyone I didn't absolutely have to (I think there's a guy in the tutorial and some guys at the end). The whole thing seemed to be real escapism to me, the place felt kind of real. Oh man I love that game, I want to play it again now. I wish it was multiplayer.
The big thing about Mirror's Edge is that the campaign is really just one big tutorial and the game doesn't really start until you get into Time Trials and Speed Runs.
And I'm now mad at everyone who made me think that the game was on sale now (played the 360 ver but I want to pick up the PC ver).

The narrative abortion of Mirror's Edge (one of my all-time favorite games, btw) was so forgettable because DICE brought in their screenwriter after most of the level design was already in place. And then at the very last second they cut a huge chunk of Faith's dialogue (I've read Rhianna Pratchett say that it was up to 40%, much of which was internal monologue during the gameplay including during the interminable elevator rides) without even telling her.

Same! I went to go get it on sale. I'm on a "play 1-2 year-old PC games on my tv with crazy anti-aliasing" kick.

This. I really really liked Mirror's Edge. The game was stunning, fun and the platforming felt great. I really hope a sequel is being made.
I thought it was confirmed that it was, using Frostbite 2. Didn't some developer say something to this effect when someone mentioned that a certain building in BF3 looks just like Mirror's Edge

I have no opinion on Mirror's Edge whatsoever. Played it for about 1 hour. It didn't grab me, so I uninstalled it to make space.
I've played the demo...while it was mildly interesting, it wasnt interesting enough for me to buy it at the time, nor since really dispite it occasionally being cheap on steam. Not sure what about it had me just saying 'nah' but it pretty much set my decision early on.

I really need to try that some time, that probably goes for about half the games from the recent indie bundles
it controls brilliantly KBAM, I tried it with a pad and couldn't get into it

I'm sorry, but @Magic Pink is already Chairman and CEO.
Not sure I could ever play Limbo, so creepy..

We don't take kindly to them fancy kinda moderate opinions round here.
