I use an online games rental service called Boomerang which has been pretty good at sending out games on release day, but with Lovefilm now on 360 I was wondering if anyone had used it because I'm thinking about switching over to their ultimate package.
Wondering mostly about the same kinda thing, if games will be available on release or if you generally have to wait a while to get em. Also is there any limitation on what is available to stream, as in just the blockbuster movies or is everything they have on disc also available to stream?
For example they currently have 5000 titles available to stream and an additional 1000 that you need to pay-per-title to stream. This is in comparison to their rental service which provides a list of over 70000 dvd's.
The streaming service sucks nuggets.
I signed up thinking "oh yay, I can watch 'insert shitty blockbuster I would never buy but kiiiinda want to see' and found that their streaming service pretty much includes films that are exclusively 5 years old. I've heard good things about their DVD service, but if you're looking for streaming look elsewhere.
I quite like Lovefilm, but I don't use it for games.
Streaming has been OK but I wouldn't sign up to it just for that. The selection is not very good, there is a lot of crap, and the website is so poorly organised that the good stuff is nigh-impossible to find. I distinctly remember watching The Prisoner through it once, and not being able to find episode five. The search function wouldn't produce it and I couldn't find a way of browsing to it. Eventually I stumbled on it by sheer chance because it popped up in the "people who watched this also watched..." box.
Cancelling is a massive pain in the arse because you need to cancel while you have DVDs and then send them back within a certain time period. If you're late, the cancellation doesn't go through and they keep sending you stuff, so you have to repeat the whole process. It's basically designed to exploit the fact that people intend to do stuff but tend to forget to actually do so.

My advice is to avoid.

Cheers guys.
