I was thinking about posting this in the Wii thread, but noticed that someone started a 360 return thread so I made this.
So I updated my Wii with the Everybody votes Channel, and after the update I noticed that one of my channels seemed to have disappeared. I kept my VC titles on the 2nd page, and went over and all of them were there. However Opera was no where to be found. So I figured I would just go and download it, well when going to the site it asked for my Nintendo account again to link it. So I did and got the web browser, checked out the new channel and called it a night.
Now about 2 weeks later, yeah I didn't play that much I went to go play some VC games and none of them are there. Everything else is there, Channels, Mii's, Saves, Messages and all. So just like the browser I figured I could redownload them, well I goto download SMB and it wants points, I couldn't redownload without rebuying. Anyways so I called Nintendo and they never heard of this problem, and want my Wii to inspect it. At first they were gonna do the advance RMA but games such as Elebits won't allow the saves to transfer over. So now I am to send mine and wait 3 weeks for my new one to arrive with all the old data.
Except now I got a call from Nintendo today, saying they might not be able to transfer all the saves and that when I get my repaired Wii, to email or call and let them know when it goes online so they can credit me all my WiiPoints back.
TL;DR:
Nintendo is fixing my Wii, I am worried about such games as Elebits not transfering over. Does anyone have experience in their Wii getting repaired with an Elebits or other game save that you cannot move to a SD card. Also when they give me my points, do I need to download the same games or should I be able to pick whatever I want again?

Also: Most likely, you can DL whatever you want. Nintendo customer support is really, really, REALLY nice.
