So i'm leaving my current job, where i was forced to carry a blackberry. I want to pick up a droid, but i'm not sure how to transfer all my contacts over. Is there a way to slap them onto the memory card? Everything i'm seeing is stuff to transfer to the sim card (which i wont be taking with me).

Can you sync it to a PC and export a CSV? You can import a CSV into your gmail contacts and sync that with your 'droid.
If you go to a retail outlet of the wireless provider to pick up your new phone, they'll usually bend over backwards to help you do this kind of stuff at the time of sale. This is also the case at some dedicated 3rd party wireless device vendors, but less so at a kiosk.
If you can install Google Sync on your Blackberry, that will make it easy. Sync your contacts with your Gmail account before you buy your Android. Then when you get your Android, you'll add your Gmail account to it, and it will ask you if you want to sync your contacts.
If you can't install Google Sync on your Blackberry, then Ruckus's advise is the next best thing:
