Finally reached Anor Londo. This place is pretty as hell... but holy shit, the archers.
The two on the ledge after the demon ambush? Man, fuck those guys and their 1000-yard sniper vision.
I managed it only buy running up to the one of the right (which causes him to drop his bow to draw sword), then running back to the bridge and standing so that the left archer's arrows just hit the pillar. Guy on the right will more than likely fall off the ledge once he starts coming to get you.
Tried this and a bunch of other stuff but was never able to do it.
Then I found that if you stand on that first part of the bridge running up to them with the fences on either side, their arrows get stuck but yours can go over. So I just went to town with poison arrows.
Dex is my dump stat, so I'm using the crossbow which can only fire at locked-on targets. I'm beginning to think it's not even worth the carry weight.
If it's like Demon's Souls, you can use a bow to aim while in sniper mode, and then switch to the crossbow. You'll drop out of sniper mode, but you'll still be aimed at the same point.

Very interesting, though I think at the moment I'm most concerned about how well they'll make the controls transition to keyboard/mouse. It isn't a huge concern, admittedly, but it's something they have to get right or the whole game will feel off. Also, 1080p is kind of a silly claim for a PC game. 60fps would be good... can they actually optimize Blighttown?

Hah, I bought Borderlands twice on the same platform! Once boxed, second on Steam for convenience. I think it was the GotY edition with all the DLC or some such.

I imagine they potentially don't even need to, since the game won't be running on 6 year-old hardware any more. Unless they pull a GTA4 on us and kill performance with sheer idiocy.

Simple Ironman mod - die once and you start a new character. This was easy enough to keep track of in DeSo because once you beat the game you could check the number of times you died by going to the top of the Nexus. You can still do it in DaSo but there's no way to flash your e-peen

Honestly if you're interested in the PC version I would just consider it controller-required.
Better performance and mods sounds pretty amazing.
Only thing I'm worried about is potential for people running hacks and trainers griefing the online play.

You made a good choice. Demon's Souls is the better game by far. well, not far, but a little.
