Hey, here's an odd question for you all.

    Was the Punisher ever... black?

I swear I saw it in a list of "shit that's happened to the Punisher" in a Wizard issue back when they were doing the mini-series with him working for Heaven.

Dear Whippy- why didn't I trust my fellow DVers when they told me how awesome Annihilation was? How can I atone for this misdeed?

Buy Nova, and the Essential Nova TPB, and then sleep with them.

You can get the trades. Book 1 is out now, book 2 comes out this month, and Book 3 drops in June. Also, buy the Heralds of Galactus mini and put Annihilation:Conquest on your pull list.

There's an Essential volume 2!? Fucking awesome!

Also, no. Punisher was never black.

Incorrect. After getting thrown into prison with Jigsaw, Frank had his face cut up all to shit and had to escape. Eventually he got back to New York, where he found a hooker/heroin addict who used to be a plastic surgeon, and got her to operate on him. He told her to make him completely unrecognizable, so she made him into a black guy.

    I was just curious:

    Does anybody here play Heroclix?

I've got a Iron Fist and a Deadpool finally which completes my New Avengers team. I'd just like to know if there are other kindred souls that play and collect and would be willing to do a Game On.

Sorry if this is the inappropiate forum, but I scanned Dice and Men and couldn't find anything pertaining to Heroclix. Still, it's worth a shot.

    Nah, he's just a placeholder.

I'm well aware of the similarities between Ronin and Deadpool and the previous owners of the suit and they're being female.

There hasn't been a proper Ronin made by Wizkids just yet so I have to make due with Spider-Man, Captain America, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Doctor Strange, Wolverine, and Deadpool acting as Ronin.

I'm more keen on my Unholy Three team which is just Hourman, Batman, and Dr. Mid-Nite. I've torn up a few teams with just them.

Deadpool is gay for anyone who wants him to be.

Nah, Ronin was a suit worn by Echo before and someone else as well. Both of them being females. My only comparison with Deadpool is the dual swords and the familiarity with Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Sorry I was being so vague, I've gotten maybe a total of six hours of sleep over the past two days so my mind is kind of wavering as far as coherence goes.

Doesn't the lack of portability get in the way of enjoying Heroclix? I can't imagine that you can carry your deck around in your pocket like you would with a card game.

Little known fact: Sam Wilson aka the Falcon is a mutant. His mutant power? The ability to communicate mentally with his pet falcon. I think this might make your list of lame mutations. This happened in the late 70's early 80's in his mini series. He was attacked by a damaged Sentinel who's repair units kicked in when its sensors locked on.

It was originally solicited as an ongoing and The Initiative was a mini, but Omega Flight orders werent as good as they expected and The Initiative's were way better than expected, so Omega became a mini and The Initiative became ongoing.

I got both today and I liked The Initiative better, although both were pretty rad.

You know, I just want one hero to say "code name? What code name?" Also, maybe they should've checked what trauma's power was, instead of relying on his dramatics. Also, I demand origin stories for powers, as it's obvious few are mutants. However, I did like The Initiative. I am very glad they aren't going to have a Cap alike, but it's rather obvious he had some SSS at some point.

Also, I would've liked there to be like one mutant off-world during House of M, and so there's this one guy who's "Where are all the normal people? Mass Genocide? WTF?"

    Justice fans?

I don't know much about the character. What's the appeal?

Just seems kind of generic to me, from the name to an outfit that really doesn't mesh with the whole cape-less thing the greater Marvel universe has.

The only reason I like him is because I have a "thing" for TK mutants, my last favorite character was Nate Grey. Mostly it's because I was a fan of the New Warriors as a kid and Marvel Boy was pretty cool/was banging Firestar. ;)

Justice is cool because he's a C-lister who has always wanted to be an A-lister. I particularly liked what Busiek did with him in his Avengers run when he finally got to play with the big boys. Now it seems like he's all grown up and is in fact one of the dudes running this big Initiative thing. That's pretty substantial growth for a character with not much of a following.

I'd like to get the chance to be able to see some of these newbies looking up at him since I remember when he was the one whose hero-worship of Cap and Iron Man was so bad he turned into a babbling idiot whenever they were talking to him.

And also, yeah he was banging Firestar for awhile.
