    The first 30-odd issues by Winick are largely good, as well as the first twenty or so after he left.

    It's around when they start talking about the "Timebreakers" that things start getting really stupid.

    I got the newest 5 issues, completing the arc that just took place.

    It wasnt so much the content that bugged me, its the flow/time and interaction between characters.

    I dunno how to explain it, but it just bugged the hell out of me, especially after reading the first Astonishing X-men TPB the night before.

    Hasn't this last arc been by Claremont?

    Because that would probably explain it.

    does anyone know of a good comic cataloging software for OS X?

    i found one that looks awesome but it comes with a scanner so it's $300

    Oooh. I was totally gonna say Microsoft Access, but OS X. Maybe FileMaker, or pretty much any other database program. I don't know any others that are ready to go for collections though.

    The "virus" is clearly not flesh-driven.

    Otherwise they wouldn't have been able to "eat" Silver Surfer. Or Galactus.

    Batman: Black and White

    Basically, each issue was a collection of short stories written by different writers, featuring black and white artwork.

    It's also the source for some of the better statues DC Direct has produced.
