I'm just sort of amazed that literally all he does is run around and spam M1. No abilities, no grappling, no switching weapons, no jumping. Just... M1.
Just as I write this he finally uses Derby Disku.
Now he's trying to shoot his own bots. The enemy bots killed him.
No, this is an honest dropped ball and we lose because Uber thinks Pros damaging something should keep keep the shield down.
Game just has been pissing me off so much lately.
The bunny hopping I see the "pros" do is goddamned ridiculous to watch. Of course, when I try it I get grappled halfway to the apex of my jump. :rotate:

The only time I still see balls drop (he he) is when a bot is targetting a pro and the pro puts the line of sight onto the money ball. So the bot shoots the pro, the pro moves, and the money ball is hit.
Of course, yesterday I had a great game where we had a jackbot walk all the way up to the enemy money ball, and stop about 2 inches from it. In fact, he stopped so close, none of our bots could get around him. And the jackbot wasn't shooting anything. This jackbot sat in the enemy base for about 45 seconds blocking our own bots from dropping the ball. The only reason it was fixed was because they killed the jackbot.

Bots getting stuck and blocking those behind them can end up producing really odd effects. Something must have gone wrong for the other team as one of their lanes stopped producing bots for a good two or three minutes and then this wave of slims, shadies and fujis just roared over the bridge in Bullet Gorge. It looked really impressive. Leo's chain shot kind of made a mess of it though.

I think that if you could do it reliably, then you could build something around turning off one of your lanes right at the start and releasing a shitstorm of slims, shadies and their fuji king once the first fuji spawns. It also would have the advantage of halving their ability to boy farm.
Then again, a Leo or a Megabeth will chew through any numbers of slims and shadies without breaking a sweat. So you'd need to play it according to the makeup of the other team.
Obviously, that's speculative.

Tried Wascot for the first time last night because I was solo queueing and the rest of my time locked a Defender, Striker, and two Enforcers before I could pick anything.
Had a pretty good game with him though, been trying to avoid Commandos due to the learning curve but I think I may have to give them a serious shot now.

I kind of wish they rework how the jackbot spawn. Maybe have it be more like a traditional MOBA and have a building you need to destroy.
Also, I think the turret shield should go up after a set amount of time of not taking damage from a bot. It's kind of B.S. how MB or Gunner can stand 3/4 of a map away from a turret and take it down without danger.

As is, as soon as a turret shield goes down once, it's basically going to either be taken out or lose at least half its health.
Pros with methods of attack with no dropoff like Gunner, Assault, Karl, Megabeth can shred a turret apart with nearly no risk as long as the shield has gone down once.
I finally got to experience the Sniper's ice trap silence. Yes, immobility and a god awful slow afterwards is just not bad enough for an easily spammed skill that you can have multiples placed.
I would have liked to have been at that meeting.
Edit: Yaaaaay my first lobby disconnect.
Edit 2: And I accidentally grappled Bullseye as Wascot, oh god I just bust up laughing. I hadn't realized they changed the animation.
So it seems to do matchmaking based on the host in build team. Helping my brother learn the game is putting me up against new people and it just seems so wrong, I don't want that... but he is a newb.

Yeah, we discovered this the other night when we were queueing with Lepware, Anon, and myself.
Queueing with Lepwave tended to match us against the best people in the game, while queueing with Anon or myself hosting ended up with Lep going like 50-0-10 or something.

I just got to play one of my favorite minigames: airstrike idiots who think they're invisible through the glass in locomoco.
This was an especially satisfying round, because that idiot was odokee.

just had a pub try to chew me out for "abandoning" the first anni battle.
My health was in the red, the other team had killed one of our turrets during the fight and they had a pile of bots at our second turret, which was at half health when I got there to clear them out.
one of my teammates said I was there fighting while it was safe, but the guy acted like I was throwing the game by refusing to die on the pad "for the cause" or whatever

That reminds me
Downtown Spunky is the worst pubby map ever possible
Because I guarantee nine times out of ten the entire team will make a beeline for the left lane and leave the right one totally unattended
yeah, I've noticed that a lot.
at least since I play a defender most of the time, I can usually coax one or two over with my pretty blue beam.

I tend to go right lane now purely because I know almost nobody else will
Granted, it sometimes works because the other team does it too
So if I can harass 4-5 players away from the turret long enough for my team to destroy the almost entirely unguarded turret on their left lane, it gives a pretty big early advantage and tends to shake up the other team enough to let off the pressure on that lane

Did they grapple a player at any point in that entire game?

is this how newbies play this game?
Proceeds to put points in everything but that.
Oh
Hi Brad
...but I guess that's the idea?
Oh well. Thanks for the free skin, GB!

Come the fuck on.
I agree that without a flow of bots, shields should regenerate.

I've never tried, but I've CERTAINLY had to go back and push along shady's and fujis on a regular basis.

did you send a demo to the devs?
