The Fully Authorized 2011 Census Thread - NEW DEADLINE, CHECK OP

PLEASE READ THIS OP IN FULL BEFORE POSTING

It's census time yet again at SE++, which many of you know will also serve as a kind of signup for the much-dreaded Forumer Opinion Thread. Unfortunately, the way Vanilla is set up makes creating lists of posters slightly more tedious to than the way vBulletin has let Munkus Beaver do it in the past, hence he and I will be creating the list manually.

This is why you should read and follow these instructions in order to ensure that you sign up properly and to ensure that Munkus and I do not say very mean things about you and/or your mother behind your back.

UPDATED DEADLINE: IF WE GO A FULL DAY WITH LESS THAN 10 NEW SIGNUPS, WE WILL CLOSE THE THREAD EARLY SO THAT WE CAN GET THIS OVER WITH; IF WE GET MORE THAN 10 NEW SIGNUPS DAILY, THEN THE PREVIOUS DEADLINE OF 11:59 PM GMT ON JANUARY 8, 2012 WILL APPLY.

This is NOT to keep the thread open so you can talk in it but it's more to ensure that people who visit the forum more occasionally have a chance to see it before it gets closed.

TO SIGN UP FOR THE FORUMER OPINION THREAD:

Post in this thread with the code VALIDATEME2011 and NOTHING ELSE.

We will be using the search function for this endeavor, so if we see extra text in the post when we run our searches, we will assume that it's been quoted by someone and we will therefore IGNORE the search result.

We would prefer if you didn't post too much in this thread to make our lives easier, but if you MUST, we can't exactly stop you. Just know that if you do put the code in your post along with other words or stuffs, IT WILL BE IGNORED.

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CENSUS BUT TO OPT OUT OF THE FORUMER OPINION THREAD:

Post in this thread with the code COUNTME2011 and again, NOTHING ELSE. If we see that you've posted BOTH codes in this thread, we will remove you from the FOT signup list.

BUT VIV, I CAN THINK OF A HUNDRED BETTER WAYS OF DOING THIS WITHOUT ME HAVING TO FOLLOW SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS!

That's awesome. Volunteer next year. After contemplating using the @ functions and other methods, this is how we've decided to do it this year. We made this decision while assuming that most of you can read, comprehend, and follow simple instructions in the interest of making our lives a teensy bit easier.

BUT WHAT IF I GET LEFT OFF THE LIST BY MISTAKE?

It would be extremely unfair of us to accuse you of being unable to follow instructions when there is a high possibility for human error on our end. But look, this is why it's important that you make our lives simple by posting as little as possible in here, so that we can actually go through the thread and double-check ourselves.

And if our double-checks still manage to miss you, it's not the end of the world if you don't know what forumers think of you this year. Try again next year.

BUT I HAVE OTHER QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS AND OTHER VERY IMPORTANT THOUGHTS THAT YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST KNOW!

Wait 10 days. If it's still important then, you can share them then. Or share them in another thread. Or PM me if it's REALLY pressing. Just try NOT to post in this thread as much as possible. Please. Pretty please.
