Was ochre just an avant garde expression on the fallacy of charcoal and its archaic roots?

Maybe.

So @Antimatter showed me this old, interesting article.

Just the thought of so many of these amazing works being produced by nothing but rock rolling punks and their bonehead chums is endearing. That theory alone then led me to find this gem

And now I'm thinking of famous artists as their prehistoric counterparts.

I was on a big De Chirico kick by the end of the semester. One of the first things I'm gonna do when I get back to school is go to the library and check out that hugeass book with essays about him.

Today I finally experienced how artists come up with metaphors like, waterfall representing a beautiful woman. Before I understood, but from an outside perspective but it is a pretty rad feeling

Is this relevant to this thread? Bottega del Vino had beautiful red christmas lights on the trees outside - very stark contrast to the darkened street / bright white christmas lights of Fendi and other nearby locales

This picture doesn't do it justice but in real life it was gorgeous

so speaking of primitive man and all that, I got into a talk a while back with callius when I asked him about the origins of clothing

I mean, it is one of those very uniquely human traits, clothing. Not just body decoration, but carefully shaping other animal skins to adorn and protect our own hides, or creating woven materials.

Even the most primitive wall art depicts humans wearing clothes

We've found incredibly ancient needles made of bone

At what point in human evolution did we start doing that? What was the process?

Some dude just got fed up with his dick flopping around when he tried to run, so he made undies to hold it in place.

The undies got bigger and bigger so it looked like the dude had a bigger donger, and eventually they became full-body undies, also known as "clothes".

It also happened with women, except with boobs and bras.
