well, i hope to finish it by ... soon. it's not particularly difficult, i am just feeling like the slowest knitter on the planet.
anyway, it's pretty. ugh.
Pooka I lurve the colors and the flower patterns you got going on! As to the slowness, I challenge you as the slowest! I started like 2 months back and have only gotten like 2 feet off a basic 3 purl, 3 knit scarf I'm working on!
@usagi, it's Gail/Nightsongs. i love the delicacy, but i may have to try using my 35s after this is done.
and thanks, guys! i am just a turtle, but it's such a big project, i keep thinking i see the end of the race, and nup, it's a curve in the road. i'm now much more confident in lace, though, so while there are more and more stitches, it seems to go faster. i'm normally a process knitter, but i've hit the phase where i'm ready to be done.
keep with it, @lostwords! it may take you longer than you'd hoped, but the feeling of accomplishment will be great.

You know what, I am not gonna let this thread die
I'm gonna make a Finn one and a Stormtrooper one. Yep.
Vann maybe you need a rad phone case to cheer you up
Sheri if I use iPhone cases I'd be all up on that Finn one. Now, say you use that same Finn design and made a little stuffed Finn with arms and legs and backpack...

so cute!
Yay! I finished the beanie for my ecco. It's a bit loose, but that's ok, he has a lot of thick hair and stuff so it works.
Next up, a slightly fancier beanie to match my fingerless gloves and my cowl. Trying to practice with fancy schmancy stitches that I haven't used before.
And then, a beanie and scarf for a friend to match her gloves that she bought from me. And then an owl hat or seven for friends. (I swear, you make one little tiny owl hat and suddenly everybody wants them!)
and somewhere I need to work on my backpack for my gym clothes and the draft stopper for the bathroom door.
I made a bench! We had a crappy pile of shoes but every couple of weeks it was a different mix of different shoes of different heights for different weather, so I wanted to make a bench that could accommodate our changing footwear.
The shelves pull out and are adjustable. They have slats to get rid of dirt and when you do pull them out they have a cool pattern.

If I weren't so lonely maybe I wouldn't have to be so desperate for human interaction
Haha there's a connotation I didn't take into account

I gave up on that one, I kept dropping stitches and it was a nightmare. No more laceweight.
Pooka, that's so beautiful! Great choice of wool too.

To my untrained eye, it seems kind of bleak. I don't really know how to explain it, other than to use words like 'desolate'.
I have no idea what that says about my thought processes and mental state!
And bored?

I crochet like Sheri.
only not as cute.
I've actually been doing some commission stuff though. mostly beanies and fingerless gloves. I am such a yarn addict.

I was trying to make my partner a beanie as a kind of surprise thing.
Only I remembered the measurement of his head wrong. it's only 57cm, not 60.
So a few 6 or something rows unraveled later... still working on it.
(5 ply wool, 4 mm hook. this is going to keep me busy for a while.
