360 wired controllers have stopped working on my PC
A couple of months ago, both my official Xbox 360 wired controller and my SSFIV Arcade Stick worked flawlessly on my PC.
Now, whenever I plug either in, the guide button flashes once and that's it. They no longer work.
The driver appears to be up to date, and the Device manager recognizes each and tells me the correct driver is installed and working. Just to be safe, I uninstalled and reinstalled the correct drivers. But they still do not work.
Has anyone else experience this problem; does anyone have an idea how to fix it?
Update: I've discovered that when rebooting the PC with the controller plugged in, the guide button flashes like it does when trying to sync with a 360 console. It does this all the way up to the Windows login screen, then becomes unresponsive once again.
If updating mobo drivers won't help, you can uninstall and reinstall the controller drivers.
Long shot, here, but it might also be static buildup inside the controllers, I had some problems with that and a Sidewinder precision pro 2.
