How to cancel a Steam game download [LOCK]Lock thread[/LOCK]

Hi guys, just realised Steam is downloading HL2 episode 1 - which ive already got on my Orange box collection. The damn thing was chewing through my monthly internet cap - how do i cancel the download - i can even pause it but it automatically resumes without warning. any help would be cool. cheers\

    Find the game in your library and right click and hit properties
    click the dropdown that says keep this game automatically up to date and change to manual.

    Not sure if that will stop an already started download but its worth a shot. Alternativly you might be able to uninstall it from your library.

    That hasn't cancelled the download, but it has stopped the auto updates and installs for games in my games list. Cheers mate!
