I wish I could just send coupons instead of trading them. I don't seem to be around when anybody else is.
Yet another way Valve fumbled this year's Holiday Sale.
Yeah, it's too bad they didn't give away free games and coupons and slashed their prices this year. Wait... they did. As long as they have heavy discounts on a lot of different games, I don't think the sale really failed. Heck, they gave a lot of games away.
It's a fairly minor thing - I just want to pass my coupon that I won't use on to somebody who will. I'm pretty darn happy with what I was able to buy and gift for the sale. Hell, I was thrilled to see that I can buy a thing, put it in my inventory, and then gift it to somebody all through the browser instead of having to make sure I was at a PC with Steam installed on it.
Also, why didn't anyone tell me that Puzzle Chronicles was more Puzzle Fighter than Bejeweled? That makes me much more interested in it.
Oh god. That DOES make it sound better. Crap.

Wow, just checked my email after a crazy day at work at saw that @Drake had gifted me Revenge of the Titans! It's been on my wishlist for a while since I thought it looked interesting, but I had other things on my mind during the sale. As soon as I break my AssBro addiction (that sounds... unfortunate), I'll be giving it a try.
Oh god, Holiday Sale Hangover. I actually got out only spending around $40 this time, though I skipped out on Total War Shogun 2 cause it was a little too pricey for my budget with all the DLC.
Think I was about the same, highlights included Jamestown, which was so good I might just go back and buy it again at full price to support the dev, and SpaceChem, also amazing, but hard.
I'm not even a huge shooter fan and I think Jamestown is amazing.
I received a code for Serious Sam 3 to review (good thing I held out on the sale), but the game keeps hanging up on me when I boot it. The screen starts flashing while the loading icon pops up, and I have to tab out and close it.
I think I read that the game had problems for some cards? Is there a fix that I can try?
I still hate the Bloody Good Time was just sent out by Ubisoft to die. I thought it improved on what The Ship was trying to do.
I wonder which direction will The Ship take now with the new developer and if they will be able to attract new players to revive it. I hope so because it's clear that we can't expect anything from Ubi for BGT.
I mean they already took the ship multi and put in in their main franchise, what else do you expect ubisoft to do? kindle successful relationships with their devs?
It's like Recettear without any of the shop-keeping stuff. Action RPG by the same people who made Recettear.
while we're on the subject. I haven't played either, which would be better to play first?
Most people like Recettear better, but if you don't like the shop-managing aspect of it, then Chantelise would be a better fit. So play Recettear first, see if you like the shop-keeping half, and if you don't, head on over to Chantelise.

Recettear is the much better game so go with that. To be honest, I'd say skip Chantelise all together unless you want to give the devs & localizer a tip so to speak.
I'm sort of burning out on Recettear after spending 8 or so hour with it. Now that I know "The secret", its too easy to make tons of money. They really screwed up by not having the customers want different things. And to make it worse? I am actually really enjoying the dungeon aspect of the game but so far there has been no reason to do it aside from shop boredom. Way more profitable to just buy wholesale and run the shop.
Would really like to see someone crib this general gameplay idea and just fix it. Make customers have their own personalities, give the player more reason to dungeon dive.

After you unlock all the dungeon heros there's a 100+ floor dungeon available which is super hard and has a superhard secret boss battle
Starting things off, I have 2 copies of Dungeon of Dredmor Complete to get rid of. To enter, PM me how you would design your ultimate dungeon to make sure it is a deathtrap for whatever random adventurer decides to wander in looking for your treasure. I'll let it run until Noon CST tomorrow and may extend it since I know a lot of the regulars here already have DoD.
Also an addendum: I forgot to say standard forum membership rules apply (six months, post history, etc), and since most people have this already... I'm going to forgo the standard restrictions. As long as it looks to me like you aren't here just for the free stuff you can enter.
Coupons seeming a bit less lame given both the dailies and the Midweek Mandess all have had specific coupons for them. So decent chance a lot of things with coupons will still be going on sale, while early on it felt like anything with a coupon would never see a special in the three months after the sale.

Thank you!
Steam Support is the worst. Seriously, the worst
I hope you enjoy it. It's pretty much my favorite TD game, because of its frantic gameplay and awesome, humorous presentation.

Very nice! I'll take a shot at that! Thanks!

I knew the sales could never truly be over.
Damn.
Nope. HiB gives out one key for the entire bundle. Any games you already have disappear into the aether.
