Using it to kill a tank makes you feel like you just slayed a goddamn dragon. None of that pussy rocketing from long range you get the fuck up there and punch that tank in its fucking face

I believe the duration of the 3D spot is based on whether your team can see the enemy player, and how long the target remains in your view. There is also a motion sensor on the MAV, which will show enemies on the minimap in circular radius around the MAV (from any height). When you drop the MAV somewhere, it continues working as a motion sensor until it gets destroyed or you die.

If you can get in mumble you can use the mav to guide your squaddies into encounters. Its very easy for three to overtake larger numbers if they know exactly where the enemy is and when they are reloading/ looking away.
Does this get you a high score? No.

I'm only really concerned if it gives your team wallhacks on your marked targets as long as you keep LOS to said targets. I'll still MAV if not, but I assumed this was how it worked, since you can see spotted tanks through walls/hillsides and stuff.

In the time you're finding, locking onto enemy tanks, you either inadvertantly:
a) crash & burn
b) remain an easy target to get gunned down
c) fly over & pass whatever you were trying to destroy

Hey I decided to put bf3 on my laptop for the hell of it. Surprisingly it runs decently enough on lower settings! However, the resolution I need to run it at (1360x768) is not my native resolution on this laptop (which is 1600x900) and the game basically makes it a smaller box in the middle of the screen. Is there any config file edit or something that can force it to stretch to full screen at that resolution?

The VAL is hard to beat 1v1, but I don't see it as overpowered. Tiny magazine with a ridiculous RoF makes it tough to use against groups.
The P90 and P19 overpowered? Lolwutno.
And the L85 is only OP if you're terrible at not spraying at anyone you see instead of bursting.
I specifically mentioned that the list was what I consider the cream of the crop to be gun-wise, not that they're overpowered. I desperately want to say that the val is OP because its only weakness is clip size, it has a built-in silencer and about as much recoil as the gripped+silenced famas with the same RPM, but I'm not going to dig myself in on the opinion. I guess the best thing to do would be to pick it up myself and figure out its weaknesses myself.
sigh, there's no point in playing on the dome if you're not with the PA group. shiashi is one thing, but a full squad of people using the as val, owning the skies (and by extension everything else) and aiming soflams at vehicle spawns is honestly too much for my weak constitution. can't team switch, team scramble did nothing...I'm not trying to call people out for being good, because you guys are and that's not something I can criticize, but the enjoyment just ceases when the teams are that out of balance.

Last night we had many non Pa colonels. Did you not notice that? There was at least a full PA squad on each side with a few others as well.
Scrambling just moved like parts.
Owning the skies? thats most good servers these days... SOFLAMs and ace pilots.... and hate...
It was a weird night and I got the losing team most goes... but there were some damn good non PA types running around last night, a few of the clan'ed together up and all.
I believe at one point it was positied by the winning-er team that all the pa guys stack up and the idea was declined by the majority. So we could have stacked and by majority did not. Just an odd night for the balance is all. I would not fret man.
Looking at battle reports, when either team lost it was never too close... which is a bummer. But I won way more than I thought like 5-6 when a majority of PA was on.
the dome is like 75% great nights, 25% 'teamstacking'.
*spoiler alert* 'team stacking'-> sarcastic term for nights where auto balance doesn't shake out well; sometimes even when an ADMIN is hand picking the scramble for fairness.
the two games that prompted the rant were insanely stacked and absurd blowouts, the rest of the night went fine. I'm also not trying to imply that most nights on the dome are like that - most are great and this one was for the majority of the time, but when the PA group slims down to this solid core of really good people and all ends up on one team, shit starts to get ugly, intentional stacking or no. I believe the breaking point was when the admin declared an auto-scramble and at the end of that maybe 2 people had switched and the teams looked essentially the same.
edit: I realize that this looks partly ridiculous because this shit happens all the time on other servers, but I'm so used to balanced games on this server in particular that not being able to leave the spawn with vehicles/meeting a VAL at every conquest point caught me off guard and awoke the raaaaaaaage.

In regards to the AS VAL, it IS arguably the best PDW, but I'm hard-pressed to call it truly overpowered. It is very ineffective beyond 75-100m, still loses routinely to LMGs and ARs at medium range, and is absolutely rubbish on the move. Add in the small magazine, and you have what is admittedly a very good weapon, but not without it's downsides.
That said, I the VAL sooooo much. It has been my go-to weapon in pretty much every game that offers it (or the VSS).
Warcry I watched your video thrice and I don't know what happens in it, is it the belly slap?
Also Wakka is an avid SC2 player. To play SC2 you must complain, whine about OP stuff and take advantage of every single exploit there is. He is not a bad guy, it's just the game he plays has shaped him to be like that
