It's empty, aside from idiots putting random crap in the chart. That social experiment didn't go too well, but then again, this is the internet we're talking about.

Woo, 3D Classic Kid Icarus get! Best Buy came through, although very slowly.
Oh well, my old gaming bones are rusty...the first world is giving me issues and I used to be awesome at Kid Icarus.
It is the best looking by a mile, has some of the best 3D, is easily Nintendo's best job ever on voice acting and has one of the best soundtracks Nintendo has ever done.
Man, how I wish you could outfit yourself with 2 different loadouts for the air battles and the land battles. Some weapons I flatout do not like in the sky, but on ground they're beastly (Palms vs. Claws for instance).

Well that's the beauty of Google Docs, I just restored to the last good version. Nobody can really screw it up unless they take the time to put in a bunch of incorrect data, because that'd be harder to notice.
However...it turns out that the spreadsheet isn't really necessary anyway, because the game does a simple calculation to determine the result of a weapon fusion.
There are 12 of each weapon. Pretend that each weapon has a value from 1 to 12. All you do is add together the value of the two weapons and subtract 12 if the number is over 12, and you've got the result.
So for example, blades fused with staves get you claws. Fusing blade 1 with staff 4 gets you claw 5 - First Blade plus Knuckle Staff equals Stealth claws.
Or bows fused with claws get you clubs. Fusing bow 6 with claw 2 gets you club 8 - Crystal Bow plus Wolf Claws equals Black Club.
Obviously you need to know the number of each weapon to be able to do this.
Holy cow the AR cards are going for crazy prices on eBay. Seperate auctions for Dark Pit, Twinbellows, and Pit+Palutena total around $30. Pit and Palutena are included with every single copy, and it's possible for Dark Pit and Twinbellows to come in the same pack too. If I sold my cards I could make a profit, because I only ended up paying $25 for my game.
Shit, really? Then I lucked out 'cause those are all exactly what I got with my copy of the game.
I posted about this earlier, but here it is consolidated, a full explanation on how to fuse any specific weapon you want!
Super Guide to Weapon Fusion
I got most of this info from the Japanese wiki, where they figured out the formula for how weapon fusions work to get specific weapons.
Essentially, there are 12 weapons of every type, and each of these weapons is assigned a number from 1 to 12. When you fuse two weapons together, you just add those numbers together to get the number of the resulting weapon. If the result is higher than 12, it just wraps back around to 1; in other words, if it's more than 12, subtract 12. Simple as that!
So for example, you want to make an Angel Bow, because you have heard it has really good homing capabilities and you want to try it out.
First you check this chart to see what combinations can result in bows:
It turns out you can make bows from anything except staves and other bows.
So looking down the first column, you randomly decide you are going to make an Angel Bow from a blade and an arm. What number is the Angel Bow, so we can find out what blade and arm numbers we need to add together?
Well here is a nice list of the item numbers. I believe this is correct; it's the order the cards are numbered and the order of idols in-game, and every test I've put it through has worked. These are SPOILERS, some of these weapons take a lot of work to unlock, and they're named after bosses and such.
So we can see that the Angel Bow is number 7. 2 + 5 = 7, we could use blade 2 and arm 5 to make it, which is a Burst Blade and Drill Arm.
Or as another example, Royal Blade plus Artillery Claws equals Ore Club. 5 + 8 = 13, 13 - 12 = 1.
Nifty, huh?
One interesting thing about this is that almost any weapon can be used to fuse almost any other weapon. I mean, think about it...say you want to make a Royal Blade, blade 5. Staves are one blade ingredient and cannons are the other, so let's see which staves and cannons can be used to make blade 5:
...All staves and cannons can be used as part of a fusion to make blade 5! It's just a game of finding the right partner.
If a fusion doesn't work, i.e. if you try to fuse two weapons to make a new one and all you see is an X and question mark, it means you haven't unlocked that weapon yet. Play the game more, explore more thoroughly, complete more treasure hunt challenges. Eventually you will be able to fuse anything with anything.
According to the wiki that revealed this, there are some exceptions to this rule. You'll expect to get a staff and end up with a sword instead. I have no idea why, perhaps there are some small programming errors. If a certain combination doesn't turn out as expected, I'm sorry, but this addition rule for fusion works the majority of the time.
Oh yeah, one other thing: to my knowledge, nobody knows how to tell which stars and abilities get carried over yet. It's bound to be a complicated calculation.
Awesome. Thanks Sporky. Now I need to start playing with weapon types to determine which suits my play style best. It seems like every subtype (angel, fortune, crystal bows etc) have their own properties in combat. It's going to take days just to try them all out!

Yeah, seriously.
Black Club charge shots go through walls but are a little weaker than other clubs' shots. Skyscraper Club charge shots are very strong at short range but grow weaker the farther they travel.
I managed to kill the enemy angel in Dark vs. Light and got a fireworks cannon for my trouble. So much fun running around with a giant cannon making things go kaboom.

Regarding stars and stats carried over, I have noticed some trends. This is just based on my own observations, so take it with a grain of salt
For the most part, everything seems weighted against each other. Items with few stats are likely to gain more stars, while items with a lot of stats will possibly lose stars. It looks like for stars, it might take an average of the two items and then add/subtract based on which stats it picks.
As for status effects, negative effects (ex: -4 Health, etc) seem to boost the star value of the item. The item Sporky posted earlier has -1 Overall defense for example, thus the inflated star values. It also seems like, to me, the effects fall into certain categories that cannot be duplicated on an item. For example, +Poison, +Confusion, +Petrification, +Burning, etc all seem to fall into the same category (I guess "enemy status effects"?) and you will never get two of those effects on a single item (at least based on my observations, I may be totally wrong on this). I would guess things like +Overall defense, +Melee defense and the like also share a category. But overall, the stronger these bonuses, the less likely the item will have a high star value it seems (or at least, the bonuses subtract from some kind of overall item budget based on maybe the "value" of the item?)
Edit: Side note, I *almost* beat level 1 with 9.0 intensity last night. I got *so* close. Got to the very end of the level and then died to that stupid thing that throws spikey balls down the stairs. There was a God Potion (full health restore) behind that guy too So it auto-bumped my intensity down to 8.0 and I beat it pretty easily. So close!
I really like the adjustable difficulty, and I think it could become a sort of standard for all games. It's pretty sweet to be able to tweak it to the tenth percent.
Also, I agree the music is fan-fucking-tastic. I also appreciate how diverse these environments and enemies are. I'm always excited to play the next stage just to see what it will look like.
Amazon refunded $10 from my KI:U. I think Nintendo really, really wants this game to sell if they had to lower the price further.
Best Buy was selling it for $30, people let them know, and they had to reduce it for the sake of price matching.
It's a $40 game everywhere else. $40 on Amazon right now too.
It's pretty ridiculous...a few days before the game released Amazon was selling a $10 giftcard for $5. I bought one and used it to pre-order Kid Icarus. Total price was $29.99 (As I opted for free shipping, and Amazon doesn't charge tax.) A few days after shipping they refunded $10 to my credit card, so the total price for the game ended up being $19.99....plus the $5 I paid for the gift card, it came out to $24.99. And on top of that I got the 3D Classics Kid Icarus, itself worth around $5.
Oh, and the 3D Classics Kid Icarus is fucking impossible. I can't get past the first stage. Would it kill 'em to give you a bit more health or more health items strewn about the opening stage? The worse are those baddies that come up from the floor underneath your feet...so quickly that you don't have time to react to them.

Haha, it gets far easier the further you advance, actually. If you want the absolute best ending, you can't die a single time, but if you manage to beat 1-1 without dying and buy a bottle, you're pretty much guaranteed to go in one sitting as long as you farm hearts and buy feathers and barrels.
But really, it's a very unforgiving game. I once read a Japanese website call it a shitty game, and I mostly agree, but I love it.

I never seem to have enough hearts to buy anything anyway. Do you have to sit and farm or something? I'm seeing "shops" that are selling items for 400+ hearts when I've only collected around 150 or so.

The eyeball enemies respawn several times. Those enemies about which you were complaining earlier also respawn easily and usually you can spot them when they're about to come out because if you look closely, they look like they're digging their way out. What I do is shoot and arrow before they are about to come out and immediately crouch to avoid getting damaged, but I stop doing that when my health approaches critical levels. Level 1-3 is the best for doing that.
As soon as enemies appear, stop. Don't move upward. Wait for them to come to you, kill them all and take their hearts. There are 4 groups of 4 snakes that come twice early on, then the flying eyeballs (which you may have to position yourself to kill better). Don't grab the harp, just keep killing for hearts. Take the right path which leads to the thin area to the left, kill the eyeballs as they float over near you, go into the door and kill all the Specknoses inside.
Just take it slow and kill every single enemy.
Watch out for those idiots that come up underneath you and shoot at you, though, they suck. Just avoid them.
Redo each level as much as it takes to do it well. Once you reach the end of a level, the game saves, and you're stuck with whatever health and hearts you had at that point.
Watch out for those idiots that come up underneath you and shoot at you, though, they suck. Just avoid them.
I only avoid them until I get the arrow upgrade. I stand in a place where they won't damage me and start farming points that way.
Wait, the 3DS version saves when you reach a new level? Oh, man, that's gonna be easier to deal with than the Famicom Mini version! I can't wait to be able to afford a 3DS.
I've found, regarding the powers being cumbersome to select, that just picking the 3 or 4 ones I use the most to be the easiest way to deal with that system. Otherwise, wow, this game. Just wow.
All purchasable weapons are there to let you look at a variety of weapons at once on the off chance that one has awesome abilities that you want, so you can fuse it onto another weapon or whatever.

My sister's streetpass gem Blade was pretty good, not that awesome but it had lots of stars and abilities.
But I got two in a row by streetpassing with her twice...this is the fusion result:
Artillery Claws
Ranged ★★★★★☆
Melee ★★★★★
Poison +1
Speed +1
Melee combo +1
Overall defense -1
Value 268
:O
And I thought my 4.5 star range wolf claws with poison was good!
