I'm torn between wanting "CB6" in the name slot (for the chance I'd actually wear it in public), or requesting a "Caulk Bite" name slot and "06" number slot combo.
in either case, I'd be down for this.
Bah, there's no hockey jerseys available. Basketball is a decent second.
No thanks. They look bad enough on female Olympic rowers. Now apply the multiplier of "people from the internet", shake well, and observe the results.
We're not all Jyardana or Berk.
"PEOPLE FROM THE INTERNET". I still wear my racing unis when I go for a row!
And I understand the lack of interest, but without a hockey jersey in there I doubt I'd purchase one so I was tossing out something I would actually get some use out of.
Nothing. Matters.

Oh I will be god damned if the first hockey sweater I own isn't red and white with a winged wheel on the front.

So it seems there at least a fair bit of interest. When I get some time at the office, I'll sit down with the sales guy and see about hashing out a few designs. I don't want this to turn into a design by committee thing, so I'll put together a few concepts and throw them out there.
I am wanting to keep the design fairly simple to help keep cost down to make them more accessible to everyone who wants to get one, but still keep it somewhat neat. I think I'll avoid the plain one solid color jerseys for something with a bit of detailing, but not a ton.
I am thinking just something with "Social Entropy" on the front and then the name and a number on the back. A custom logo would bring the cost up a fair amount, but I'll find out how much.
I am trying to take several variables into consideration, so the final product isn't gonna be your personal exact perfect vision. I was thinking a navy based jersey with orange lettering for the site colors, but I hadn't considered the retro colors Tox proposed, so I'll look at that too. Bottom line is, I will take your suggestions into consideration, but you don't get to make the design. I will be making executive decisions about what to do, because otherwise it will be a clusterfuck.
I don't even get the final decision. The final product has to get the approval of PA staff, according to Tube.
I will let everyone see an example of the finished product when it has been approved. Nothing has to be paid until you decide you want one.
Oh, and I get first dibs on whatever number I want.
Nice work Grant, I dicked around on the site a bit and I think the simple 'Social Entropy' on the front in navy and orange will look pretty good, I look forward to seeing the designs you come up with
Geek, I know you get these at cost, but what about doing them at a markup for Child's Play?
I don't have any idea what they cost to make, but if they cost $15, charging $25 or $30 sounds about right. That'd be around $1,500 for Child's Play right there.

I would be....moderately willing to accept this markup. I'd prefer less than 100% mark-up to child's play, though. Mostly just because it will put it at the high end of people's price ranges, and out of a lot of people's price ranges.
I'd say if the jersey's cost no more than $20 per, a 50% markup to child's play is fair (and rounding up to the nearest $5 is probably also fine).
@The Geek any chance of you coming up with a few "finalist" designs, seeing how many PA approves, and then maybe letting folks vote on the final winner? I understand your reasoning for keeping design control (and it makes sense), but if the final product isn't what people are wanting, you might lose a lot of interest. Also what's the price range we're potentially looking at? Like, optimistic best case scenario to pessimistic worst case?
