What I thought was lost in recent move we had, was actually hidden in a unopened/marked box. Its been a while since I've used my grill so I came to H/A wondering if you guys had any favorites you like to cook on it? I'm somewhat tired of my meal choices and could go for a lot less fast food and more for some stuff made by me.
E: I should've made this thread after I've eaten. I'm stuck at work and so freakin hungry :[
Its ok to marinate things and then throw them on there right? I imagine it would just be a pain to clean, mine doesn't have the removable tray.
You can and should marinate. It'll be a little harder to clean, but as a tip, as soon as you take the food off while the grill is still hot, fold a paper towel severeal times and wipe it down. 90% of the crap will come off. Then after that you gotta break out the sponge and scrub. I did this for years.
Then when you can, get one with removable plates. Makes it 10,000x easier to clean!!
Turkey burgers are awesome on the foreman. They cook so quick they don't try out. Same for chicken burgers. And as always any read meat is just frigging delicious!
Nothing wrong with a nice GFGrilled Cheese Sandwich.
Everything posted is gold so far, but grilled cheese on a GFG is awesome because you don't have to use any butter or oil, so although you're still eating a sandwich made of cheese, you've still cut down significantly the amount of fat you're taking in.
If you make burritos and then throw them on the grill for a minute or two the tortilla will start to brown and you've got yourself Taco Bell style grilled stuffed burritos.
I'll grab a bag of frozen boneless chicken breasts and throw each on in a sandwich bag and leave them all in the freezer. Then I'll grab one and throw it in the fridge overnight to thaw, and in the morning I'll put it on the grill with some spices and it makes an easy breakfast when I want something with some substance to it.
The George Foreman Grill is basically one of the technological triumphs of modern man as far as I'm concerned.
Indeed, I always found if you get at it before you eat things become clean much easier. This is true for most any cooking dealies.

My grocery store has bags of frozen chicken breasts. They're not quite as good as the fresh ones and usually much smaller, but I'll toss a couple in a sandwich bag with some marinade or BBQ sauce overnight and toss them in the foreman the next evening. Pretty solid.
I used to get cravings for KFC chicken wraps, but hated the idea of paying for/actually eating KFC, so I'd grill some chicken breasts, drop some lettuce, cheese, and whatever southwest/tex-mex white salsa I could find into a tortilla and grill it up. Good stuff.
I cook swordfish on my Breville panini grill, and it's awesome. I used to pan sear, but cooking a thicker steak takes long enough to toughen up the fish. Very little cleanup, too.
Thanks guys. As my first dish, I went out and got some chicken breast and teriyaki marinade. Even went a little further and got a cheap rice cooker for some white rice to go with it. Can't wait!
This. Normal sandwich + a press grill = awesome sandwich.
if you're looking for good frozen burgers, try Bubba Burgers... they're much more expensive than the standard frozen burger but come out amazing - straight from freezer onto the hot grill
