There was this game that played very similar to Gauntlet I believe. It would have been around ca. 1986-89. It was an adventure themed game with an Indiana Jones type character (safari clothes, hat, whip, etc...). I think the intro showed the group opening a tomb and then they all got sucked into it or something to that effect. That is all I have to go on, haven't seen anything related to it since I played it all those years ago.
Thanks!

What system did you play it on? While it is definitely not Gauntlet-Style, the only game with a character like Indiana Jones I remember right now was Rick Dangerous.

I thought when he said arcade he meant in the arcade.
The Temple of Doom looks the most like what I think this game is. The reason I mentioned Gauntlet besides the play view angle was the fact that it had simultaneous play from what I remember. If this is indeed it, thanks for the help!

Temple Of Doom did have a more 3/4 perspective mode as well.
YES! This is totally it! Thanks for putting me out of my misery. Temple of Doom was close enough for me to call it good. I almost thought it was Dark Seal for a minute too.

Edit: @useless4 Temple of Doom was basically like Pitfall--sidescroller.
Both fit the description other than "gauntlet-style," though.
