I 100%'d Sequence last night. Feels good. I almost never cheevo hunt games, but I just couldn't help myself this time. The toughest one was definitely learning Luminary Storm. I was stuck at ~93% Accuracy until I remapped the left and right arrow keys (I had been using them to switch fields). Then I started using both hands for the really difficult sections (made it through the entire beginning section with 100%). Less than 5% of people get the "learn every spell" cheevo, and I'm one of them.
Also, all the AYIM hate from a couple pages back makes me really sad.
New Serious Sam themed Indie Royale bundle. Has first and second encounter as well as some of the random indie games they commissioned during the run up to Serious Sam 3. Most of it registers on Steam.

Okay, so my Steam window now seems to be permanently stuck in full-screen windowed mode. I can move it around, but I can't resize it. Never run into this problem before. Anyone else?
I kinda want to get that SS for the classic games, already have the others, but ehh, 3-4 bucks is how much you see them go on sale for on Steam already.
Remember as far as the Indie Royale stuff goes, the keys are all independent. So you can redeem the ones you're missing and then either give out/contest out/hoard the others.

Defender's Quest is also not a really "finished" game in that they're going to be adding a bunch of content, that's why it's cheaper now too. When it's fully released and at its' normal price I imagine they'll resubmit.

How long did that take you/how long is the game?
According to Steam, I logged 20.4 hrs. I played on Medium difficulty, which for me was just the right amount of challenge. Any more and I don't think I could have kept up. Any less would have been boring.

That's a nice chunk of time for how much that game costs. I'm considering picking it up. Unfortunately, it's the time of the month where I have to choose between buying games and buying groceries. Decisions, decisions.

With a new haircut that would be fairly attractive, actually.
I have no idea who that is but it really really looks like Harry Potter in a suit.
Coming from someone with black hair and glasses who gets called harry potter all the time, even though I look nothing like Daniel Radcliffe: This guy looks nothing like harry potter except that he has round glasses.

Actually, the nose and facial width are pretty spot on. The jaw throws it off, though.

Maybe this will sway your decision. Most of the music is from Ronald Jenkees. Here he is playing Throwing Fire, Stay Crunchy, and Disorganized Fun (which are just a couple of the songs in the game).

On hard, I did everything except that damn spell. Frigging, jeez.
Oh also never 100%'d a spell, because it was always just a bit tougher than I could manage. I'll probably start over on Medium, and play an hour until I can get that one at some point.
I've said it already but it's the only time I've ever felt like I was actually learning what I was supposed to be learning. It's something like how Super Meat Boy makes you awesome at doing Super Meat Boy things. You get to the point where you're all "hm, I've gotten wicked comfortable with Arclight so maybe I should slot that in, but Slash is so easy I may as well use it as a damage spell but it's got a high cost..."

I finished the other final spell (I forget what it was called) with 99.7%. I think I only missed one or two gems really close to the end. I ended up having to start over and got it on the first spell. What I didn't realize was that you can unlock that achievement during a practice round. That would have been nice to know ahead of time.
Meanwhile, Valve reported record sales for 2011 — Steam sales doubled from 2010 to 2011, with reports of 40 million registered customers actively using the service.

But by "actively using" does that simply mean it's running in the background?
Doesn't it automatically set itself to start when windows loads?

Edit: Apparently this is a 'lightning round' so it only lasts 100 hours. Hop to it.
Double edit: Serious SAME was a typo. Whoops. Hilarious.
Now I am wondering how I have never seen anyone intentionally write it as "Serious Same 3" in a derisive tone.

I hope so. Much easier to justify it as a game wardrobe purchase there.

Heh, I was reading that article but before I got far, I said, "Oh, that game." and the addictive center of my brain was activated and said, "MOAR!".
I guess the only solution is to buy it now and buy a 4 pack later when it hits Steam.

The classics are worth considering since they cut a bunch of the wacky gravity levels (I think?) from the HD remakes.
And those were fun times!
