Whoa, Woke up this morning to find a friend invite from @Handgimp that I accepted and immediately got a gift copy of Fortune Summoner. Apparently people had suggested I deserve a copy of it for his contest. <3 Super thanks to him and everyone who suggested me. I feel super honored to be a part of such a classy community.

Use Eurogamer50 as code to get 50% off. That means Space marine for 5€, or RF:A for 5 euros. Saints row 3 for 15€

not 100% sure if it's worked or not yet but I've just been charged £4.29 for Space Marine, just waiting for the code to come through but I'm pretty sure SR3 code took a while from them. All I did was put France as my country, still paid with my uk paypal account.

I'll update if the code comes through

UPDATE - it worked, just under 3 hours to come through nut who cares for £4.29!

Stabbing the guy in the face in the middle of an army then running like hell through the city seems to be the tactic of choice.

I seem to recall in an Assassin's Creed thread from a few years back that someone mentioned that was historically how the Hashashin preferred to take their targets out -- a full profile kill with many witnesses.

This video actually shows the proper way to kill the guy you're talking about:

So I've been waiting for months to have a gaming rig so I can play all these great games I've been reading about. I even bought some games during the Winter Sale and put a few on my Christmas list in anticipation of finally playing them. I grabbed a couple of Humble Indie Bundles.

I put my machine together last week, and I let all the games download. This may have been a mistake. I now have a huge pile of games staring at the face, and I'm wandering from one to another like a kid in a candy store. And, like a kid who has just mainlined one of those pixie sticks, I have the attention span of a Weird Al Yankovic polka mix.

This only gets worse, doesn't it?

The important thing is that you HAVE FUN. If you are playing a game and it isn't blowing your socks off, don't force yourself to finish it.

    Also keep buying new games.

like Gotham City Imposters to play with me. (I have no idea if the game is good or not. YET)

Yes. This is how I have two versions of Fallout 3. Although in Fallout 3 I did it because the DLC was handled through GFWL, which I detested. New Vegas DLC is all Steamworks.

    Guys, I messed up.

Last night my 3 year old son was playing with a toy train and I said, "You want to see a choo choo game?" He said yeah, so I loaded up Railworks. He was mesmerized. He was almost scared to touch the mouse when he has never been before. Almost reverential. When that steam engine gave that first puff of smoke, he actually said, "wow". I finally had to turn it off when it was bath time, and he threw a fit.

    Goodbye wallet.

    Haha.

Last night when I saw "Sir Carcass is now playing Railworks" popup on Steam I thought to myself "What's that all about?"

    @b1rdman Jamestown is great.

I don't really like shmups/bullet hell games. They just seem to have too much shit going on for me to actually feel like I'm playing them. I don't see how anyone other than superhumans can play. Jamestown came in the Humble Indie Bundle #4, though, so I tried it out, and I love it. It's easy enough that I don't feel like I'm playing Super Japanese Ball Crusher Extreme Blowup Surprise Explode Time, the music/story/setting/graphics are all stupendous, and it's just all-around a good experience. Can't recommend it enough if you at all enjoy top down shooters/shmups/bullet hells, and even if you don't it might be worth it.

I think I spent about 20$ total getting all the fallout NV stuff over the course of sales. Hah. I win, Steam! This time, at least.

Now to go buy something to offset the savings.

I agree, the New Vegas sales during thanksgiving and holiday sales were pretty good. I believe it was $16.54 US for everything, sale time. Which was great since I gifted 4 copies or so.

Pain the rear to send it all individually though. Ultimate will be much easier in that sense, though I wonder when it'll reach comparable or lower prices.

If you have a friend or two, Jamestown Co-op is highly recommended. I put it on my laptop, use an HDMI out, and connect a few controllers for a damn fine arcade experience. Single player is a complete blast as well, but if you're not a hardcore shmup dude, stay away from the challenges. Only frustration lurks past that screen, my friend.

The other bonus options are pretty great though, and I can't stress this enough: When you unlock the option for a more silly story, TURN. IT. ON.
