Depends on when he casts summoning. If the mob is a 2/2 due to counters by the time summoning comes in, it will not die.
So here is the thing about that deck. If you want it to compete in standard, most of the equipment isn't going to be effective. It's kind of like how titans have made any 6-drops besides wurmcoil irrelevant; if you're running human aggro, even a weird B/W twist on human aggro, the swords and batterskull outshine everything else.
Sideboard:
2 Ratchet Bomb
2 Sword of Feast and Famine
1 Sword of War and Peace
1 Leonin Relic-Warder
1 Mirran Crusader
1 Phantasmal Image
1 Celestial Purge
2 Mana Leak
1 Negate
2 Gideon Jura
1 Revoke Existence
The thing about this deck is it dodges a lot of the hate from Curse of Death's Hold that's running around. It still gets stomped on by Conley Ramp and U/B control that can side in bloodline keeper. It also has a surprisingly bad matchup against monogreen aggro.
Your deck has tempo going for it via summoning but it's got a directly built-in liability against CoDH and Black Sun's Zenith. Plus bear in mind we have tragic slip now. Making your 2/2s into 1/1s opens you up to a lot of hurt that costs your opponent a single black mana.
Heartless Summoning decks can actually work now, but the trick is keeping your card quality high. Cards that aren't good unless you have another card to go with them typically aren't good. For example, I absolutely would not run Myr Superion in a Heartless Summoning deck unless I'm also running Grand Architect, so that the odds of it getting stuck in hand are much lower. Unruly Mob and the human-based equipment have that problem, except the upside if they work out isn't even that high.
I want to say the Invasion/Planeshift/Whatever stuff, because I played that when I was a kid and Phyrexians, the Weatherlight, Gerrard and so on, man I knew them all. I thought all that stuff was awesome.
That said, man, Ravnica. Ravnica is soooo goood.

is there actually anyone who doesn't like Ravnica? genuine curiosity, I've only heard positive things about it and I'd like to hear what people don't dig about it.
My favorite block is Onslaught/Scourge. Strange that they only had 2 there, but still my favorite.
After that comes ravnica.
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)

I started playing pretty recently (Ravnica I think was my first set) and given that early on I still didn't really grasp how to play well or follow any of the story I don't have much of an opinion on Ravnica as a block, but it did give me a lot of fun stuff to work into decks
and generally I guess that's how I view sets and blocks, by how many things in them interest me as opposed to how well stuff works within the set/block, and by that definition TS block is probably my favorite I'm still finding stuff I missed in there that I can mess around with and build fun casual decks around and Rav would probably be second
my friend told me I should sell my Sorin before he goes down in value
yeah no I want to keep my awesome b/w planeswalker (even though I have nowhere I can think of to put him right now)
There's definitely a tokens deck somewhere in here. Lingering Souls, Sorin, Thraben Doomsayer, Gather the Townsfolk, Increasing Devotion and some intangible virtues. That said he's like a 4-of in that deck.
Also, Innistrad is the worst draft format I have been a part of.

Pretty standard heartless summoning, free 5/6 and free 2 damage shots
but here is where my personal twist comes in
keep ramping this dude up with some low cost creatures and then throw equipment on him

throw in some Wurmcoil Engines
Human specific equipment for lifelink or first strike and bonuses
Maybe Mirran Crusader?????
oh yeah, and this guy could work somehow

Steam
Right now Esper (U/W/B) is doing pretty well for certain archetypes!
My fav block is TS, hands down, with Ravnica a close second.
but it looks like i'll have to splash blue
hope i can do it effectively!!!!

E: Also I did not know that was a thing, Bucketman. I will have to grab that.
the second issue will have Faithless Looting, I think, and they've announced at least a third issue but not what comes with that one

all playing group games, quietly building up a pile of tokens
neverending politics because no one wants to have a pile of islands
Yea, control decks kinda have to run that way right now. There's a broad range of threats that require very specific answers.
Woooo!

bfl you don't even play
I bet I can get 15-20 for that card!
some of these get pretty expensive
edit: also I am terrible at building standard decks, 90% of what I make is me seeing some old card and wanting to abuse the hell out of it
Tombstone Stairwell is, I think, the only one that has completely stumped me out of finding something at least decent to do with it
Black2: 1593 2528 7190 3DS:0216-0910-3881 LoL:drp527
(and by that, I mean several hours ago)
Wow.
I'm imagining I won't get full price for it, since I will be selling it to a store that will intend to resell it for a profit.
But 20-30 would be grand.
he'll probably hold at a pretty high amount anyway if B/W tokens becomes something that works because there he's incredible, but $60 was a bit much

maybe a transformer, though
