Well if we're talking edh yeah, although you do have access to all the fun mana producers. Otherwise I have a now obsolete Eldrazi Green deck that is super fun times.

I forget is Channel banned in EDH
because I have a friend who occasionally pulls off (in casual games of course where we don't really care about such bannings as long as it's not too absurd) turn two Channel, pay 15 life, Emrakul, instant concession by everyone else
Man, I drafted a super awesome mill deck, and I got beat because my opponent was smart. He has a Mindshrieker and just boarded in that and a ton of land, then mullied til he had it. White blue had no answer in time
Props to him on a smart strategy, but man, I wrecked my first opponent.
If you are talking about block constructed only, I guess there's an argument. But graveyard hate is an enormous part of the meta right now. I can sideboard in 3 nihil spellbombs and have a good deal more impact while at the same time cycling.
Isn't there also a ton of artifact hate running around in standard now? I have been out of the loop since zendikar but if your opponent is running the cage then you should have an answer in your sideboard at least, unless you are playing more casual games in which case it could be really annoying.

Everything but U/B can hate artifacts pretty hard and should be doing so. DelverPike alone makes sideboard artifact hate pretty much compulsory. The only deck I can think of off the top of my head that doesn't really care if you blow up its artifacts are Ramp (oh no, you killed my solemn simulacrum/sphere of the suns. what will I do.) and the rogue Tezzeret control I keep seeing here and there (hard to artifact hate a deck that's running about 50% artifacts).

I am, actually. I just got in again so I am getting Innistrad stuff and playing block. There is not a lot for non-RG decks to do there.

Yea, that's valid, but for small environments it's really unlikely that UWB will have decent artifact hate. I think the cage is their way of saying that U/B control won't have it all their own way.
AAAAAND final draft of the night, travelpreps.dec takes me to the finals. Lost it there but I'm happy to lose to a better player.
I grabbed a fat pack today. Shit luck. The only Mythic I cracked was that demon blade, I got a bunch of crappy blue and green creatures (not werewolves) and not a single one of the new dual color captains.
Well it's a high power flyer that is pretty much impossible to kill and gets you a bunch of stuff to dredge or flashback or reanimate, depending on what you're doing.
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)
My life-drainer/control deck was loads of fun to use. Hissing Miasma, Pillory of the Sleepless, Mortify and Souls of the Faultless were great cards for setting up a defense where you make attacking not worth it and remove or nullify their creatures. Then it was a case of either using Blind Hunter and Agent of Masks type cards to suck out their life, or draw an Angel of Despair/Blazing Archon and beat them over the head with it (I have a pretty big inner Timmy and he loves stuff like Angels, Dragons and Demons).
Some card designer posted on the MTG site that "they hate when Fog decks are successful" and now all I want to do is try to create a semi-successful fog deck. Seems like I'd need a ton of PW though...

a casual self-mill deck is actually a really fun thing to do with him, though of course it's pretty much dead in the water unless you go outside of standard's cardpool
The Ophidian Eye/Niv-Mizzet combo wasn't always a tap to win situation before, because your opponent only needed one "prevent all damage" spell and it didn't work. Put in Lab Maniac though and that's basically a definite tap to win situation.
SO, anyone with much experience drafting ISD got archetype breakdowns. Seems R/G is pretty good, Green/white Travels, and not sure what else. Just know I am getting stomped today :-p

Caveat: I haven't done enough drafting with DKA to know anything about how it changes these archetypes.
The best archetypes at the moment are, by far, W/G travel preps and U/W evasion. Preps just wants efficient, good creatures to work, and white is so deep for limited that this is not usually a problem. That said everyone wants to be in W/G so drafting it is very difficult.
U/W works off solid, efficient evaders like Stitched Drake, Moon Heron and Chapel Geist. U/W can also morph into the invisible stalker/equipment deck if the cards are available.
Stalker/Equipment is a blue splash whatever archetype that basically says "get 2 stalkers, get butcher's cleaver/silver dagger/demonmail hauberk, put them on the stalker". It is not a fun deck to play against. Tribute to Hunger hurts it to some extent but that's really it. Trepanation blade also works here, but if you use it online expect someone to call you a jackass at some point.
R/G wolves is a deck that works but is not very good and should not be played in pure ISD draft. If you're lucky and get Instigator Gang, splash it into better colors. Expect this to change with DKA in the mix though.
B/W is not so much an archetype as a good combination. It works off things like Disciple of Griselbrand that love to sac creatures + black/white's token generation.
Pure Mill or Self-Mill are also a possible archetypes here, with sufficient support from ghoulcaller's bell, nephalia drownyard, murder of crows, trepanation blade and selhoff occultist. I have both seen and built mill decks that can win by turn 5 with a good draw pretty consistently, but you have to have the right pool.

They...uh...
They made creatures a little different.
EDH is the best format because running both of those is viable!
Oh and if you want absurd

Wait...my Ravnica cards could actually be worth cash? ....I should look into this.
Yea, the shock lands, dark confidant and doubling season come to mind as being worth a pretty penny.
I would just like to say that Grafdigger's Cage is a stupid, unfun card and I hate it.

Get killed in round 1 by U/W, still make a profit of 11 tickets!
Second online draft of the night: crack garruk!
Get killed round 1 by R/G werewolves and tree of redemption (this one actually kind of made me mad but whatever). Still make a profit of 7 tickets!
I guess the secret to infinite drafting is open planeswalkers.

one of them jokingly commented halfway through about not having opened a Sorin yet, so I threw down my foil uncommon calling it a foil Sorin
then I actually checked the rare of my pack and, well, there he was

also I am butthurt because they didn't reprint http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=208221 in 2012 and I have three of them I could use in my mill deck
Man that deck was so fun. Blue/Red is the best colour combo, it makes me sad they don't do more cards with those colours
For Ravnica/TS I loved Izzet. And Gruul. And Dralnu. And Solar Flare. And Gifts Rock. And Mono-Green Aggro.
Man, Ravnica/TS was like the best format that ever happened.

Although one time I saw a guy with a custom altered Angel of Despair that had Advent Children Sephiroth on it. That made it a lot less cool.
Yeah that sounds pretty crappy
I actually find that I really like most multicoloured angels over mono-white. They just tend to be pretty cool cards.

stuff like Leveler, Mirror of Fate, or the slightly faster but also less likely Cephalid Illusionist combined with Nomads en-Kor

U/G/b Spider Spawning is a self-mill deck that wants Spider Spawning (obviously), Runic Repetition, Dream Twist, and Memory's Journey. You mill yourself until you have a ton of mans in the yard, then flashback spawning (or cast it if you're lucky enough to draw it) and win with spiders. This deck also loves Curse of the Bloody Tome, Liliana of the Veil, Ghoulcaller's Bell, Nephalia Drownyard and Laboratory Maniac as an alt win condition.
Burning Vengeance is an archetype based around the card of the same name. All flashback cards are welcome but this is fundamentally a U/R deck. Think Twice, Geistflame and Desperate Ravings are staple here.
R/G wolves is a deck that works but is not very good and should not be played in pure ISD draft. If you're lucky and get Instigator Gang, splash it into better colors. Expect this to change with DKA in the mix though.

EDIT: adding card links.
The main problem is the fact that he's white, which cuts out a lot of the tricky logic trap cards I want to use.
I'm thinking morph creatures, poison guys, creatures with first strike and some creature making instants if white has any.
Also Liar's Pendulum and Urza Glasses type cards for funsies.
Finding these kinds of cards in white is hard though.
can i get some advice from the nerds in here who know what they are doing
