I've been drawing off and on as a hobby for the past, like, decade and honestly, I'm not really structured in a "I was trained" sense, I just draw what I like.

I'm getting pretty good with my own creations, but not good enough for my own liking just yet. However, I'd love to hear some feedback on my portrait drawings.

I'm aweful with hands, so that much I know already. i think my only strong point is hair so far, but eh who knows, with how good everyone around here seems to be, I might not even be good at that haha, but it'll be awesome to hear how I could improve.

I think that you need to work more on rendering basic shapes and on anatomy. There's not a lot of contrast going on here value wise, and the way that you're drawing facial features leads me to believe that you're not looking at shapes when you draw them, but rather thinking "eye," "nose," or "lips."

Also why are Supergirl's nipples hard? Is she that excited to be going to the opera?

I'm also not sure that the cloth between her breasts would manage to tuck itself in there like that unless she did it manually. I would encourage you to look a bit more closely at form fitting clothing and at anatomy in general.

good point, that's definitely how I look at ppl when I draw, I look at the sections, eye lips nose etc. I'll see if I can find some lessons on seeing the shapes instead.

Well, you don't really need lessons on that, it's mostly just practice. But for a start, maybe try some negative space drawing or the classic stravinsky turned upside down to understand the concept of looking at shapes instead of the units or parts of the face. It's all about just looking at that single line and seeing how it really looks instead of thinking in symbols. Now, another thing you could work some more on is line weight. Try to vary your lines and draw some longer, more confident lines instead of going over the same line again and again.

I'm guessing your reference pictures aren't very well lit. Pinups and soft core porn often have really flat lighting and its not a particularly good resource when you are still learning how to create and interpret volume. It you want to improve, even as a hobbyist, I would recommend some life drawing. If you live in a city, there are probably some open/cheap sessions somewhere.
