blah. I did too many loyalty missions before getting the iff in my insanity run.
did an n7 mission to trigger legions loyalty, did that, now I guess I need to look up where other n7s are b/c I'm sure as hell not doing overlord or arrival on this run.

I just watched that last single player trailer with whatever is happening on Tuchanka. I mean, wow. That is some spectacular pay off for everything they have been building up since Mass Effect.

Why does it matter how many loyalty runs do you do before getting the IFF?
Honestly, I don't think I'm ever going to use any party in ME3 except for Legion and Liara. Not only do they perfectly balance out my soldier Shep, but Legion is easily the most intersting party member in either game, and Liara is my Shep's love interest.
I hope that lap-dance from Kelly doesn't have any ramification in 3.

You might wanna check out the possible party member roster.
Liara might want to know where you picked up that varren scale itch, though.
"Instead, the whole scanning for minerals has been replaced with another system. Preston Watamaniuk said along the lines of replacing the mineral scanning with a search and rescue system; you can go around and explore these conflict zones - trying to find survivors and that's pretty much where we will be able to collect minerals and... things. I guess.
They didn't really go into much detail, but it makes sense doesn't it. I mean think about it.
The Reapers are destroying all life in the galaxy and I don't think Shepard can be seen in ME3 just... casually floating around a random planet and stripping it bare of resources at his own pace. I mean he could! But... well, yanno... *points back at Earth and entire planet is being razed* and... *points at Shepard, who is grinning/drooling as he gathers 2000 worth of Eezo*, yeah. You may as well let the Reapers win, heh.
The magazine says Preston is the 'probe-hating lead designer' but I didn't want to put probe hating on the thread title as it could... well... double entendre etc."
Wait, do we know Kelly is who Mordin was talking about with the Scale Itch? This is my third time through and that's the first time I heard Mordin mention it. I was rolling. Frigging love Mordin.
Oh, and 3rd time through and I still explore EVERY dialogue option with the Asari bartender. "What a kick in the quads". Every word out of her mouth is gold.

because of the "do x missions to trigger endgame" timer.
at this point all I have left are missions I really don't want to do.
and side missions which I hope count, but I'm not sure.
I'm not sure what you're referring to. There's the five missions after Horizon timer, the ship mission, and then you can do as many as you want until the IFF. After the IFF, if you've done all the loyalty missions, you can immediately trigger Legion's. If there's one or more loyalty missions to be done at that point, you get one more, then Legion's.

There is no proof that she brought scale itch aboard the Normandy... but come on, it has to be her. Who else would it be?
Shepard.
Duh.
Yours might.
Don't give me that crap. Shepard would sleep with the entire crew of the Destiny Ascension at once. That's how powerful the competence field is. Besides, everyone knows the PC is irresistible to any and all beings, sentient or not.

yeah, I still have one loyalty mission available, but I'm not doing it in this playthrough.
I did Legion's, but the crew is still on the ship.
well I think it does, one time I tried to activate it and instead of the usual warning message saying I couldn't Miranda came up and said we were all getting in the shuttle
So I bought the download version of ME2 on PS3, because... I like giving BioWare money, I guess. Also to try it out on my big TV and stereo.
-The setup comic is... epic fail. It's horrible. It takes 15 minutes to complete (I couldn't find any sort of button to press to make it go faster, but maybe there is one?). Even Hale's voiceover doesn't improve it. It also doesn't really make much sense. It thoroughly confused me, and I already know the ME1 story.
The only high point was a "so bad it's good" frame towards the end. It shows Garrus spread-eagled (like... he's making an X shape with his limbs), horizontal off the floor wielding two pistols to headshot two husks. It's like he's done a belly flop off the high dive and is capping husks on the way down.
-Wow, it's slow. Changing floors on the Normandy takes less than 2 secs on my PC. On the PS3, it takes at least 30.
-Playing shooters without a mouse and keyboard sucks. A lot. On the PS3, I'm the most terrible Vanguard ever. On the PC, I'm bad, but I can manage Insanity.
-The missing conversation bits I get from my ME1 imports on the PC make me sad. When you bump into Tali at Freedom's progress, you can't remind her of the Geth data you gave her.
-The missing levels, karma points, credits, and minerals I get from an ME1 import make me really sad. Starting at level 1 kind of dumbs down the gameplay. No Paragon/Renegade points is worse.
So, back to the PC for me. Rather than continuing to play this abomination, I am going to have drag my PC downstairs and hook it up to my TV/stereo when ME3 comes out.
Yeah, I wanted to switch from 360 to PC for ME3, but having to rebuy DLC, saves, lack of new game + bonuses, is just too much of a pain to bother with. Even when I have ME2 PC free from that Dragon Age 2 deal.
Makes me wish DLC licenses were across multiple platforms.

at least the ps3 version gets a better dlc situation: some built-in, the rest in cheaper packs, and iirc the CE/gamestop/dr pepper stuff is available to buy, unlike the other platforms.
but yeah, that doesn't really make up for not being able to play a proper import

How did it look? Didn't it use the ME3 engine? Supposed to be prettier?

I'm going to hook up the PC to the TV later for a test run and comparison, but.. my initial impression was that the PS3's AA isn't nearly as good as the PC's (though I'm easily annoyed by low AA). Otherwise, I didn't notice much of a difference, and the visual foibles I know and love from the PC version (crazy bloom illumination on characters with pale complexions being the shining example) still seemed present with the PS3. There was certainly nothing that made the PS3 version stand out as having obviously improved graphics.

When I buy console I buy it because it's reliable. Unless it's an action game, I normally buy action games on console simply because I prefer the controller and I can easily record off it now. But my pc is not very good so it's a much easier choice for me to pick console.
Morninglord on
(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
I think that was the first time I did Kasumi's mission on insanity. Jaysus. Now I know why there's like, four med kits littered around the last area.
I almost ran out of ammo at the first YMIR fight. Thank god for the Phalanx headshot mega explosion, because I have serious doubts my ammo would have lasted through the four or five guys I had left at that point.

I didn't think it was that bad. I think I died a couple times in the vault room (mostly because kasumi kept getting killed like, instantly) but after that was pretty smooth sailing
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet

so you'll just get minerals or whatever the upgrade resource is for running through generic little side missions or something?

Grunt would seem like a likely candidate. only 2 years old but he has needs!

Gotta' say, Kelly looks particularly guilty here. She is the Cheryl Carol Krystal from Archer of the Normandy.
THIS IS A SPOILER
One costume design has the Prothean as a Space Samurai, the other has him as a Space Cowboy complete with hat.
Hat!
That makes it amazing.

If Bioware fails to take advantage of that, I'll be disappoint.

Really? You care about other people too much then.

Because I Vanguarded it, and MAN that was a rush.
Why I fear the ocean.
