just remind yourself that it's only a game, an average one at that and that your poor poor hype addled mind needs to take a soothing bath and have a massage.

Is there a reason you're swinging your e-peen about Evil? Like, I get the fact you're not hyped over the game. But why exactly would you wade into a thread where most folks are super excited about a game they've been waiting years for and expect a different response?

Before this thread becomes all ME3 all the time, I'd like to note how silly it is that there are three merc groups in the galaxy and you're always fighting them in ME2. I know why they're doing it (to let you choose your party appropriately*), but it kinda hits suspension of disbelief that they never attack you in revenge or even seem to acknowledge your consistent, repeated sabotage of their expensive-looking bases and plans.
For those who don't pay attention to the loading screen info, Blood Pack have regen health, Blue Suns shields, Eclipse barriers. So basically their names are color coded to your health bars for convenience. Also I've yet to complete the game so if the final boss is a merc dude, that sounds less stupid than the ending I keep hearing about.
I've only ever played Soldier, what's better about Vanguard?
It plays very differently from other classes because you're encouraged to play SUPER aggressively, zipping around the battlefield like a jet fighter, smashing people in the face before blowing their heads off with flaming shotgun rounds.
Other classes you need to take cover, Vanguards' supersonic, foe tossing attack power *is* their recovery power.
As such, players who subscribe to the cult of the Vangods enjoy projecting the mystique of the pilots from Top Gun, complete with Kenny Loggins and oneliners about kicking tires and the need for speed.

Well, the separate cells seem to be pretty loosely aligned. Korlus and Omega Blue Suns probably both give a percentage to Vido, but they're doing completely separate operations and don't care about each other.

Biotic charge is not always useful, but always awesome under every circumstance until you get stuck floating in invisible level geometry god fucking dammit WTF

Soldier do things like this, Vanguards do them like THIS
Basically, all the situations where you'd duck behind cover and take a breather as a Soldier? As a Vanguard, you don't do that. Instead, you hurl yourself around the battlefield with your shotgun like a pinball of murder, your health continuously in the flashing red and always being one missed opportunity away from death. You die a lot on higher difficulties, but every battle you win is a goddamn celebration of your badassery.
Soldier is Marcus Fenix, Vanguard is the guy from Vanquish.
still i gotta hand it to the internet guy for picking great music :^:
but you've gotta agree that finishing the rho waves as insanity vanguard is amazingly satisfying. much more of a relief for you since it's your first time, but for me, coming back to that after a whole fresh playthrough and just dominating was pretty much the best validation ever.

I used to be such a MKB zealot, but I'm bummed that ME2 doesn't have native 360 pad support. Game just kinda feels unnatural with MKB. And it would be nice to kick back and chill with a pad. And I guess it would also give me different kinds of repetitive strain injuries than I get from sitting at a computer at work. Oh well.

the one-shot claymore kill for pyros helped a lot
the elites and engineers aren't nearly as problematic
I also figured out how to draw the fight into the fringes of the room where the cover is a lot better and the larger number of paths breaks up enemy groups
also learned that cover doesn't need to be perfect: just needs to fend off enough gunfire to let you live through the charge cooldown
it's amazing how many more places there are to bunker down if you don't care that one guy is shooting you

Some weapons actually have mods that decrease their carry weight.
get out
well done! :^:

i like this one because this music is perfect
Fuck yeah.
If you're not continually about to die then you're not playing the class right.
you have three chances every two hours to guess a sequence with 4 nodes for a chance to win early demo access
I tried bottom left - bottom right - top left - top right and top right - bottom left - top left - bottom right with no luck
and bsn lists these as wrong
Not bad for a large group, but for individuals, it is not good odds.
Why I fear the ocean.
used the one starting with C7
don't know how many others have been taken gogogogo
Wait, what?
