From hit developer Raven software came an impressive game



Running an improved, and for the time impressive, Doom Engine it is the direct sequel to Smash Hit Heretic.

It allows the player to pick one of three classes

Fighter



Cleric



And Finally Mage



Each allows for a different play style and affects difficulty at different points.

This game was so successful they put an expansion and a sequel!



It was bigger, ran on the fucking quake engine, had 4 player classes, and was three fucking D!

Let us talk about these awesome classic games, and as well, they're ten bucks on steam and I want to see how any kind of multiplayer holds up on these things. It'll be great.

Did Hexen have the gauntlets that shot lightning or was that just Heretic?

As a kid I was (still am) a huge star wars fan and basically just ran around in Heretic with those things pretending I was the emperor.

Seriously guys, you can get Heretic, Hexen, The Hexen Expansion, and Hexen 2 for ten bucks on steam. Let's co-op this shit because i don't have the where with all to figure these games out but i really want to play them.

Also, there are some dudes using idtech 4 to remake hexen.

That's right, a doom 3 engine hexen game.

So, yeah. I could probably post more information about that.

But i want to test it out first and the downloading keeps screwing up.

Hexen was the best use of the Doom engine if I can recall.

I think there was a Star Wars game that wasn't too bad.

hopefully its better than the Doom remakes on the doom 3 engine. those mods just did not capture the originals at all

It's not finished from what i gathered, they are still recruiting people to make assets and what not. only trailer i have seen is using the cleric as well.

remakes of the originals need to make sure to remove looking up and down and have your shots automatically target things higher or lower than you. also need to walk at about 60 km/h
